The head sculpts on these are the best I've seen for Luke Skywalker. These figures look great, but they are priced at $300! I think I will wait out for a new premium format figure for that price.
they are trying to justify it by saying that $300 is for two figures (that works out to $150 per figure) with additional light-up Weathervane stand as a bonus ;)
A slight error - this "Bespin Luke Skywalker" is actually from 1980's "The Empire Strikes Back," not 1977's "Star Wars." Same character, but different movies (with different outfits!).
I'm glad they're finally beginning to include two bodies, even if the price is more. This should be a regular feature for those that come with multiple heads and outfits, such as the DX Joker, which had the clown outfit AND the police outfit.
The price of Hot Toys figures are climbing anyway, and having to grab another Truetype figure body to complete your figure (to display both outfits) was actually a hidden cost that was quite expensive (often running for a minimum of $45). This way, they include the cost of the body, and overall it probably ends up being a little bit cheaper, while certainly making it more convenient.
Was thinking if they could had the light saber and the palm as one...that is attached to the 'light optic' in the hand (just like how they do it on the iron man). A hidden switch to switch on the light saber...now how cool is that : )
With the normal looking light saber similar to gundams....now, that's a bit lame ...to my opinion. Star Wars is all about the light sabers :)
The mere fact that this is Luke Skywalker makes it a must have.XD Having Hot Toys make it is just the cherry on top.
