Hot Toys USMC 26th MEU–SOC Marine

The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operation Capable), or MEU(SOC), is a highly adaptive, quick response force that can execute multiple and concurrent missions within just six hours of notification. The core missions of the MEU include: conventional operations, tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel (TRAP), humanitarian assistance (HA), noncombatant evacuation operations (NEO), and security operations. This force spends 26 challenging weeks training on how to respond to everything from disaster and humanitarian assistance to all out conflict, or war.

This is the Hot Toys 1/6 scale12-inch 26th MEU–SOC (Marine Expeditionary Unit–Special Operations Capable) 1ST FORCE RECON Marine, released in 2005. The Marine spots a Mohawk hairstyle and is supposed to resemble David Beckham. You can see how much painting of 1/6 scale head sculpts have improved since as the current sculpts are really realistic and life-like compared to these.

The other person now making this look popular is Mark Wayne Salling, who plays Noah "Puck" Puckerman on Fox's comedy, "Glee".

This Hot Toys 26th MEU–SOC Marine wears Nomex flight suit, rappelling harness, AVS body armor, and assault vest

He's also got elbow & knee pads, belt with drop-down pouches (x2 mags), MPK knife, SOC .45 pistol with SureFire & retention lanyard in drop-down holster

Now wearing MICH helmet with NVG mount & AN/PVS-7 NVG, stinger headset with radio, Nomex hood, assault vest with one smoke & one incendiary grenade, strobe light, cyalume light sticks (x2), carabinas, MP5 mags (x4) & pistol mags (x2) in pouches, rappelling gloves, flexi-cuffs (x3), M40 gas mask, Benelli M4 Super 90 Combat Shotgun, aviator gloves, watch, boots.

Here he is with tactical goggles instead of the NVG and armed with the H&K MP5 RAS with AN/PEQ2 laser, SureFire, and Aimpoint

Here's a look at the superb details of the stinger headset with radio

The detailing on the H&K MP5 RAS with AN/PEQ2 laser, SureFire, and Aimpoint is pretty amazing too

This Hot Toys USMC 26th MEU–SOC Marine is fully decked out with plenty of nice 1/6 gear, accessories and weapons

Back in the day, 1/6 figures seem to always come with 1/6 watches (started by Dragon Models and Hot Toys didn't disappoint too). This Marine is also armed with the SOC .45 pistol with SureFire & retention lanyard in drop-down holster, MPK knife and M40 gas mask

The Benelli M4 Super 90 Combat Shotgun, also known as the USMC M1014 combat shotgun stored in holder on the back. Hot toys even included 1/6 scale rappelling gloves

This Marine proudly wears his 26 MEU(SOC) Patch on his left arm sleeve

The high and tight is a military variant of the buzz cut. It is a very short hairstyle most commonly worn by men in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. Due to the functionality of this hairstyle, it's also popular with law enforcement officers and other public safety personnel. Also called a jarhead, it is the United States Marine Corps regulation haircut and they are called jarheads because the hairstyle looks like a mason jar. It's a common Marine soldier haircut, I don't think it's supposed to be the world's lousiest football star, David Beckham.
