Latest: Hot Toys to re-release Iron Man Mark I

Good news for Iron Man fans!

We are pleased to announce that we will be relaunching the Iron Man – Mark I Limited Edition Collectible Figurine, bringing to fans with more movie-accurate and newly developed head sculpt with our latest sculpting and painting technique, as well as more value-added accessories!

Besides, we have noted that there are counterfeit Mark I figures in the market, so here is a kind reminder for fans to pay special attention to it!

Please stay tuned with us for update and show your support for the authentic collectible products!

This is certainly good news for many collectors out there who had missed out on the first Hot Toys 1/6 scale Iron Man Mark I 12-inch figure released some years ago (it was 2009 when Mark I was released and many Iron Man fans missed out on it then). Question is: Is this going to be a DX version? Just like what Hot Toys did with the Joker and TDK Batman as well as Jack Sparrow. Only time will tell.

For those who want to know what the first released Iron Man Mark I looks like, from box packaging to full figure, check out my reviews and pictures HERE (showcasing the impressive packaging), HERE (the beauty is in the details) and HERE (light-up features)!

Ooh No, that's unfair.

i think hot toys made an unwise decision for this step.. a limited edition is a LIMITED edition,,what's a "LIMITED" if it is "RE-LAUNCH"???

but on the other hand, it is still interesting to see the improvement

Hi Alex,

it's almost like a prayer was answered..

What is a DX version btw..?

Scalpters holding out for their $1000-dollar priced Mark Is must feel really done in by HT this time..

Haha

Cheers WL

hey WL

DX is Hot Toys DeluXe version, where they throw in more stuff and charge you MORE for it. Examples are DX01 JOKER and DX02 TDK Batman. They do it to differentiate from their regular releases and is usually an improvement over their previous versions. It gives them a reason to release another one / variant since it is going to be DIFFERENT :) So we now wait and see what HT is going to do

This is great news for those who missed out. I would love to pick one up however I just retired from this hobby as it is getting too expensive :(

Funny that I expected more negative comments about Hot Toys doing this figure again, but judging by the various forums like ssfreaks and osw, the overall comments are fairly positive. As a business move its very smart. I didn't buy MK 1 and MK 2, yet I bought MK 3, MK 5 and MK 6. I was happy to call it a day but now I'm tempted to get MK 1 and the upcoming MK 2 armour unleased version then alas the MK 4 just to have them all side by side. Kudos Hot Toys, Kudos! Now I'm tempted to spend all my pennies.

Great News for those who miss out the first time round and people like me who are new to this hobby.

Need to check out the MK1 ver.2 picture and accessories first before committing.

Not a Must Buy for me but I might pick one up if the price is right.

I hope HT make a Whiplash ver.2 soon even though I don't own a Mk5
