Public Enemies 1/6 John Dillinger Bank Robber PREVIEW

Hot on the heels of the recent DVD release of "Public Enemies" comes Heroic Bank Robber. Heroic first teased us with "Perfection Killer" who's obviously a 1/6 scale Léon The Professional from the 1994 film of the same name (previewed HERE) and now we get a glimpse of Heroic's 12-inch Bank Robber, who's a dead ringer for Johnny Depp as John Dillinger: An American bank robber whose exploits dominated the press during what is sometimes referred to as the public enemy era, between 1931 and 1934. Check out the outfit and getup which is an exact copy of what Johnny Depp wore in the film.

Interestingly, the tie with suspenders and chain on his pants look a lot like what Heath Ledger as the Joker wore in "The Dark Knight" - see my post HERE for pictures of the recently released Hot Toys 1/6 scale DX01 Joker

Colt M1921AC Thompson Submachine Gun ("Tommy Gun") with 20-round magazine. John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) and some of his gangsters, notably "Baby Face" Nelson (Stephen Graham), and FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) use Thompson Submachine Guns guns throughout the film.

Okay, gotta ditch the oversized hat OR you can keep it for the Sideshow Collectibles' 1/6 melon heads that they have been producing - LOLZ

Dont you just love DID...creating movie characters 12" without us consumer having to pay higher price due to the movie license fees! Just need some creative thinking.

Didn't know Heroic is part of DID - if they are, then at least the quality will be GOOD! Just glad that I can afford all these great movie figures at a much better price point :) Hot Toys is burning holes in my pocket HA! HA!

Nice hat - NOT! Why is it so damned difficult to sculpt a decent fedora?? Everything else looks nice, except for the Depp likeness.

Johnny Depp is not my favourite and so, can skip this figure liao :)

Yeah, it doesn't really look like Depp.. At certain angles it does resemble him.. But its no doubt obviously based from Public Enemies.. Cool outfit and accessories too... But I'll wait for a better head sculpt if there ever will be..
