Catwoman's Claws for "Batman Returns" - the Real Deal

I was staring at my recently acquired 1/6 scale Catwoman femfig (approx. 12-inch female figure) from "Batman Returns" standing on my work desk and wondering what her claws (the 1:1 scale ones) were really made out of. Piqued with curiosity ("Curiosity killed the cat" is a proverb used to warn against being too curious lest one come to harm. A less frequent rejoinder to 'curiosity killed the cat' is 'satisfaction brought it back'), I decided to search the internet for answers and the answer I got blew my mind!

Want to know what her claws were made out of? Scroll down for answers - I assure you that you will be truly satisfied!

All of the metal and stunt sets for Catwoman's Claws in "Batman Returns" were made by Scott Schneider (check out his site HERE), a veteran of miniature visual effects who has contributed to some of the most influential films of the last 20 years. The pictures below are original glove pieces for Michelle Pfeiffer's CATWOMAN costume from the 1992 "BATMAN RETURNS" movie, i.e. her "Claws" and they are beautifully and wonderfully made, from a Batman fan's perspective, of course. What more can I say? ENJOY :)

Hi Nicola, these are not made by me. I merely re-posted the pictures from the designer himself, Scott Schneider. You can check out his site via the link: http://minieffects.blogspot.com/1992/07/batman-returns.html

He would be the best person to answer all your questions. CHEERS
