Preview ACI Toys new 1/6 scale Christian 12-inch figure "Medium Built Bodies" - 3 versions

ACI Toys has announced their soon-to-be-released 1/6th scale 100% New Body that they are calling the 12-inch Christian "Medium Built Bodies". These are all the official pictures of ACI Toys: New 1/6 Body-Christian "Medium Built Bodies"!

Altogether there will be 3 versions: Unpainted Version, Asian Version and Caucasian Version. These will be just headless bodies i.e. the 1/6 scale head sculpt is not included. Do note that these bodies all come with the neck which means you can only attach heads and NOT head sculpts that come with a neck already. Good for head hunters only ;p

My first reaction when I saw these pictures was: "That's not very Christian-like haha" Scroll down to see more pictures of ACI's new Christian bodies. More 12-inch figure body options for collectors and kitbashers alike. Things weren't like this before. Used to be hard to hunt down a decent 12-inch figure body for bashing / customizing due to the limited options available but nowadays, we are pretty much spoilt for choice, which is a good thing.

Shown below are some of the poses the ACI Toys new 1/6 scale Christian 12-inch figure "Medium Built Bodies" can hold, including the now famous Iron Man pose which all the Hot Toys 1/6 scale Iron Man figures have been unable to do because that particular pose was CGI and the 12-inch Iron Man figure with all its added armor is just not capable of doing what could only be accomplished on computers.

alex i want to ask your opinion, which one is the better skin color for tony stark body??, the caucasian or the plain one??
thanks :)

hi ono, i would think that the caucasian body should be compatible skin tone to Tony Stark but as the product is not out yet, there are no comparisons available.

Hi Toyhaven team
I'd be keen to see a comparison page of 12-inch figure body options, brand by brand.
If it was updated regularly it would be a great reference for customisers.
Thanks
J

Wouldn't we all like to see that haha

hi toyhaven. i'm just wondering if the asian version would look great in replacing body of the sideshow storm shadow? if not, any suggestions? the HT TTM19 is already expensive so i'm taking that one out from the list. any suggestions? thanks in advance. :)

Hi Noel
Personally, I do not have any ACI Asian body so I am not in the best position to advice you regarding which body is best to replace the Sideshow Storm Shadow although I think it might work as ACI is reputable. As for articulation, I just posted about which bodies are BEST. You can check out the link - http://toyhaven.blogspot.sg/2013/11/comparison-of-16th-scale-12-inch-action.html

hi alex/toyhaven. thanks for the new review. it's great. also, i did tried the ACI Christian (unpainted) and the color doesn't match. and it has a fault on the shoulder design. whenever you try to rotate it upward, the inner part of the shoulder 'muscle' area tends to scratch on the upper body part. and from my view, the ACI Christian body is kinda too bulky for Storm Shadow. just wanted to share this. :) for now, IMHO, the best body for Sideshow Storm Shadow is the Hot Toys Wesker body. I also want to try TTM16 or TTM18 in the future. if someone out there already tried this on both Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, just reply on this comment. anyways, thanks once again on the great review. :)

Hi Alex, I want to know if is possible to match this ACI Body with a Action Man/Geyperman Head... I'm trying to make a new/vintage mash up action figure.
Thank you!
Julio

I'm not sure myself if that will work. Action Man / Gyperman heads are connected differently and cannot be detached so easily like these modern 12-inch figures
