Hot Toys DX Batman The Dark Knight Review IV

With expensive statues, you could probably take enough pictures just for one post whereas with a superb 1:6 scale articulated figure complete with costume/outfit and accessories, the possibilities are endless. There are so many poses they can hold and different angles for the shots. And I'm definitely enjoying and appreciating this 1:6 scale Hot Toys DX (DeluXe) Batman collectible figure so here are some more shots of Batman (Christian Bale) as he appeared in "The Dark Knight (2008)", specifically in Hong Kong.

...continued from where we left off in the previous post:

[Lau announces that he's removed all the mob's cash from their banks before the police raid, and stashed them in a secure location]
Lau: Now, obviously, no one except me can know the location for now. But rest assured, your money is safe.
[From outside comes the sound of loud, fake laughter. The mob bosses turn and see the Joker enter]
The Joker: And I thought my jokes were bad.

Batman: [about Lau] If I get him to you, can you get him to talk?
Harvey Dent: I'll get him to sing.
Lt. James Gordon: We're going after the mob's life savings. Things will get ugly.
Harvey Dent: I knew the risks when I took this job, Lieutenant.
[turns back to Batman]
Harvey Dent: How will you get him back? Any-?
[Batman has disappeared]
Lt. James Gordon: He does that.

Bruce Wayne: And what about getting back into the plane?
Lucius Fox: I'd recommend a good travel agent.
Bruce Wayne: Without it landing.
Lucius Fox: Now that's more like it, Mr. Wayne. The CIA had a program back in the 60s for getting their people out of hotspots called Skyhook. We could look into that.

The Fulton surface-to-air recovery system (STARS) is a system used by the United States Air Force and United States Navy for retrieving persons on the ground from a MC-130E Combat Talon I aircraft. It involves using an overall-type harness and a self-inflating balloon which carries an attached lift line. An MC-130E engages the line with its V-shaped yoke and the individual is reeled on board.

In September 1996, the Air Force Special Operations Command ceased maintaining the capability to deploy this system. But the system lives on in fiction and can for instance be seen in action when Jonas Blane get air lifted out of a hot zone in the tv series "The Unit (season 2, episode 1)", that is set around the year 2006 in the series.
