Hot Toys 1/6th Guardian Predator (2010 Toy Fairs Exclusive) Preview

This is the Hot Toys MMS126 (Movie Masterpiece Series) Predator 2: 1/6th scale Guardian Predator Collectible Figure (2010 Toy Fairs Exclusive) and it is certainly another Masterpiece.

Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Guardian Predator Collectible Figure from the Predator 2 movie. The movie-accurate Guardian Predator collectible is specially crafted based on its image in the movie, highlighting the newly painted head and body armory, highly detailed weapons, newly developed face mask, oxygen mask and bone trophies.

The 1/6th scale Guardian Predator Collectible Figure specially features: Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Guardian Predator in the movie Predator 2, Realistic 1/6th scale of approximately 14 inches / 35 cm tall, Over 22 points of articulations, Newly painted head and body armor, Real fabric body net, Interchangeable open and closed mandibles, One pair of relaxed palms, Two extra right palms (one for holding spear and one for shuriken), Each piece of head sculpt is specially hand-painted

Weapons: Extendable wrist blade, Articulated shoulder cannon, Retractable spear, Shuriken

Accessories: Newly developed face mask, oxygen mask and bone trophies, Figure base with Guardian Predator nameplate and the movie logo

We've all seen this ugly mug before - I can't really tell the difference between this Guardian Predator from the FIRST Predator (reviewed HERE). They all look pretty much the same without their masks IMHO although "pretty" isn't a word I would use for these aliens. Scar Predator basically had a scar on his forehead (see pictures HERE).

That is a pretty tiny shoulder cannon LOL this guy must have felt insecure when he went to get his cannon with the other boys who had much bigger guns ha! ha!

This is the first time I've seen the Predator oxygen mask - makes him look like The Elephant Man

You can expect all the intricate details of his armor from Hot Toys coz they never disappoint

The Predator's Shuriken and its housing next to his right thigh. The origin for the word came from the Japanese shuriken (Japanese 手裏剣; literally: "sword hidden in the hand"), a traditional Japanese concealed weapon that was generally for throwing, and sometimes stabbing or slashing.

That's a most interesting bone trophy. Isn't it amazing that aliens from other planets (if they exist at all) would have skeletons and bones just like us humans? We are just more comfortable identifying with things we can understand and comprehend as we cannot fathom beyond what is around us.

Release date: Q3 2010

Artists: Figure Sculpted by Pan Mak, Figure Painted by Kermit Law

Awesome. I love it when this guy de-cloaks in the movie, and I love the Predators HT has put out, and this one would go nicely alongside the Celtic Predator and the original Predator I already have :)
