Christian Bale says "Good Bye" to BATMAN role OR Kitbash Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne

It seems inevitable that The Dark Knight Rises would mark the final Batman film for director Christopher Nolan. And Christian Bale has always said that he wouldn’t go on making Batman movies unless Nolan was doing them. Thus, it would appear that The Dark Knight Rises would see Bale donning the batsuit for the last time. Now that production has wrapped on The Dark Knight Rises, that seems to have been confirmed by the actor himself.

Chatting to Inquirer Entertainment, Christian Bale announced that this could be his last time as the masked vigilante whose secret identity is Bruce Wayne, an American billionaire who as a child witnessed his parents’ murder, leading him to a life of revenge on crime.

“I wrapped up a few days ago so that will be the last time I’m taking that cowl (Batman hood) off,” he said. “I believe that the whole production wrapped yesterday, so it’s all done. Everything’s finished. It’s me and Chris – that will be the end of that Batman era.”

Christian admitted that playing Bruce Wayne “was enjoyable.” He explained, “We always maintained from the beginning that if you wanted to break it down, there are three personas – Batman is sincere, the private Bruce Wayne is sincere. The public version of Bruce Wayne, the playboy, is a completely fabricated performance.”

All we can say is "Thank you Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale for bringing back the BATMAN franchise from the grave after that dreadful direction by Joel Schumacher of the dynamic duo in "Batman & Robin (1997)" which was critically panned and ranked among the worst superhero films of all time.

According to John Glover, who played Dr Jason Woodrue in "Batman & Robin (1997)", "Joel (Schumacher) would sit on a crane with a megaphone and yell before each take, 'Remember, everyone, this is a cartoon'. It was hard to act because that kind of set the tone for the film."

This 1/6 scale Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne head sculpt was produced and released by Head Play and the company has made a foray into the 1/6 scale head sculpt business, having produced and released more than 80 head sculpts to date.

Here are some close-up pictures of the Head Play 1/6 scale Christian Bale head sculpt. I think they managed to capture the likeness of the actor most notable for his role as serial killer Patrick Bateman in American Psycho (2000), and for portraying Bruce Wayne / Batman in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008), and John Connor in Terminator Salvation (2009).

This Head Play 1/6 scale Christian Bale head sculpt is on a TTL 12-inch body and wearing Dollsfigure man in black suit

The Dollsfigure 1/6 scale suit consists of white shirt, two ties (black and patterned), black jacket and pants. Not the best fitting suit and the collar is HUGE ;p

Sigh. Thanks for sharing. Not likely for me at this time, but it's ever so fun to see ;-D

The bash looks nice. The head is a teeny bit small and the suit's collar is indeed big, but it's effective no doubt!

I really like the Batman Movies made by Nolan and its pretty sad that The Dark Knight Rises will likely be the last in this franchise... Nevertheless I think they will go down in movie history as one of the classic movies worth watching..

Sad to say, that might be the end of cool Batman figures from Hot Toys..
