Soldier Story 1/6th scale U.S. Army 28th Infantry Division Ardennes 1944 12-inch action figure

The Battle of the Bulge (16 December 1944 – 25 January 1945) was the last major German offensive campaign on the Western Front during World War II. It was launched through the densely forested Ardennes region of Wallonia in eastern Belgium, northeast France, and Luxembourg, towards the end of World War II.

The surprise attack caught the Allied forces completely off guard. American forces bore the brunt of the attack and incurred their highest casualties of any operation during the war. The battle also severely depleted Germany's armored forces, and they were largely unable to replace them. Between 63,222 and 98,000 German soldiers were killed, missing, wounded in action, or captured. For the Americans, out of a peak of 610,000 troops, 89,000 became casualties out of which some 19,000 were killed. The "Bulge" was the largest and bloodiest single battle fought by the United States in World War II and the second bloodiest battle in American history.

Following a war of attrition, by early June 1945 the 24th division had lost over 12000 troops and been reduced to approximately 3000 men. Toyscity 1/6th scale WWII German WH Infantry Private Set, Poland 1939 for 12-inch action figure

Important Note: This product is for military collectors & historic education purposes only, and it is not intended to glorify nor exploit the horrors and atrocities of war.

The Wehrmacht was the unified armed forces of Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1946. It consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force). After the Nazi seizure of power in 1933, one of Adolf Hitler's most overt and audacious moves was to establish the Wehrmacht, a modern armed force fully capable of offensive use. Fulfilling the Nazi regime's long-term goals of regaining lost territory and dominating its neighbours required the reinstatement of conscription and massive investment and spending on the armaments industry.

The Invasion of Poland, was a joint invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, the Free City of Danzig, and a small Slovak contingent, that marked the beginning of World War II.

Toyscity 1/6th scale WWII German WH Infantry Private Set, Poland 1939 will come with M35 Helmet with WH sign, M36 Uniform for WH Private, Leather-like boots, WH Equipment Belt, Gas Cape Pouch, M38 Gas Mask Can, Bread Bag, Water Bottle, Field Canteen, Shovel, Bayonet, Kar 98k Rifle, Kar 98k Ammunition Pouch x2, M35 Backpack, Blanket. Alert Line 1/6th WWII Royal Air Force Fighter Pilot 12-inch figure aka Tom Hardy in Dunkirk

Dunkirk is a 2017 war film written, directed, and co-produced by Christopher Nolan that depicts the Dunkirk evacuation of World War II. Dunkirk portrays the evacuation from three perspectives: land, sea, and air. It has little dialogue, as Nolan sought instead to create suspense from cinematography and music. It is the highest-grossing World War II film of all time, taking $525 million worldwide. Dunkirk received praise for its screenplay, direction, musical score, and cinematography; some critics called it Nolan's best work, and one of the greatest ever war films.

Tom Hardy portrays Farrier, a Royal Air Force Spitfire pilot who assumes command after their leader is shot down. The remaining two aircraft then save a minesweeper from a German bomber, but the other Spitfire is hit and ditches. Its pilot, Collins, is rescued by Moonstone. Farrier reaches Dunkirk, his fuel exhausted. Gliding over the beach, he shoots down a dive-bomber.

The Imperial Japanese Army was the official ground-based armed force of the Empire of Japan from 1868 to 1945. In 1941, the Imperial Japanese Army had 51 divisions and various special-purpose artillery, cavalry, anti-aircraft, and armored units with a total of 1,700,000 men. At the beginning of the Second World War, most of the Japanese Army (27 divisions) was stationed in China. A further 13 divisions defended the Mongolian border, due to concerns about a possible attack by the Soviet Union. From 1942, soldiers were sent to Hong Kong (23rd Army), the Philippines (14th Army), Thailand (15th Army), Burma (15th Army), Dutch East Indies (16th Army), and Malaya (25th Army). Some of the World War II German uniforms in 1/6th scale, all thanks to Dragon Models Limited

Important Note: These products are for military collectors and historic education purposes only, and they are not intended to glorify nor exploit the horrors and atrocities of war.

The Axis Powers is a term for those participants in World War II opposed to the Allies. The three major Axis powers, Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and the Japanese empire, referred to themselves as the "Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axis." The Axis powers ruled empires that dominated large portions of Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, but they were ultimately defeated at the end of World War II.

The Wehrmacht (lit. "defence force") was the unified armed forces of Nazi Germany from 1935 to 1946. It consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force). The Wehrmacht formed the heart of Germany’s politico-military power. In the early part of World War II, Hitler's generals employed the Wehrmacht through innovative combined arms tactics (close cover air-support, mechanized armor, and infantry) to devastating effect in what was called a Blitzkrieg (lightning war). The Wehrmacht's new military structure, unique combat techniques, newly developed weapons, and unprecedented speed and brutality crushed their opponents. By the time the war ended in Europe in May 1945, the Wehrmacht had lost approximately 11,300,000 men, about half of which were killed in action.

click on the pic for a bigger and better view :)

IMHO The German military uniforms of World War II were most impressive and appear to be the best among all the armies. They were the best looking uniforms (the sharpest) and the German leaders seem to understand the value of branding and propaganda - the Nazi party spared no expense in looking good while doing bad.

DID 1/6th scale WWII U.S. Army 29th Infantry Division Radio Operator "Paul" 12-inch figure

The 29th Infantry Division (29th I.D.), also known as the "Blue and Gray", is an infantry division of the United States Army based in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. It is a formation of the United States Army National Guard and contains units from Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina.

Formed in 1917, the division deployed to France as a part of the American Expeditionary Force during World War I. Called up for service again in World War II, the division's 116th Regiment, attached to the First Infantry Division, was in the first wave of troops ashore during Operation Overlord, the landings in Normandy, France. It supported a special Ranger unit tasked with clearing strong points at Omaha Beach. The rest of the 29th ID came ashore later then advanced to Saint-Lô, and eventually through France and into Germany itself. These actions have since been the subject of many motion pictures and video games.

Radio operators play a very important role in military communication, which is the transmission of information from reconnaissance and other units in contact with the enemy and the means for exercising command by the transmission of orders and instructions of commanders to their subordinates. As such, it comprises all means of transmitting messages, orders, and reports, both in the field and at sea and between headquarters and distant installations or ships. Military communication has thus long played an important role in warfare.

DID 1/6th U.S. Army 2nd Armored Division Military Police "BRYAN" figure aka Ross Geller

The 2nd Armored Division ("Hell on Wheels") was an armored division of the United States Army. The 2nd Armored Division was formed at Fort Benning, Georgia on 15 July 1940. It was originally commanded by Major General Charles L. Scott, with Colonel George S. Patton in charge of training. Scott was promoted to command the I Armored Corps in November of that year, which put Patton, now a brigadier general, in command of the division. The division played an important role during World War II in the invasions of North Africa and Sicily and the liberation of France, Belgium, and the Netherlands and the invasion of Germany.

Military police (MP) are law enforcement agencies connected with, or part of, the military of a state. The status of military police is usually prominently displayed on the helmet and/or on an armband, brassard, or arm or shoulder flash.

DID 1/6th scale U.S. Army 2nd Armored Division Military Police "BRYAN" figure Features: Head Sculpt, Male Figure Body, Hand Assortment, M41 field jacket, Pants, Shirt, Scarf, Tie, Pistol Belt, X Harness, M43 buckle boots (genuine leather), Thompson M1 SMG, Thompson magazines x3, M1911 pistol with magazine, Bayonet with sheath, EE8-A Field Radio with leather case, Baton, Whistle with chain, MP helmet, Flashlight, Pistol holster (made of leather), Thompson 5-pocket ammunition pouch, M1911 mag pouch, Goggles, Sunglasses, Canteen with cover, First Aid pouch, Insignia. NOTE: Motorcycle not included (display only)

The head sculpt has an incredible likeness to David Schwimmer who played Ross Geller in the NBC sitcom Friends. He also played Captain Herbert M. Sobel in Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks' HBO World War II miniseries Band of Brothers, a role not suited for him due to the fact that as Ross Geller, David Schwimmer was a fan favorite and Captain Herbert M. Sobel wasn't popular for his hard and cruel ways.
