October 2013 Haul - Loot from my Birthday

Here are the stuff I got on my birthday :) Always nice to receive gifts and more so when you get what you wish for haha. Mostly 1/6 scale figures and / or 1/6 scale related stuff but surprise! surprise! some Transformers toys too. Click on the picture for a bigger and better view

From left to right: Transformers Autobot Bulkhead, Figure Club The League of Shadows Ninja Master Ducard, Skyfall MI6 Agent, 1/6 scale Tom Hiddleston (Loki in The Avengers film) head sculpt, Transformers Decepticon Soundwave, Alpha Toys 1/6 scale Narrow Shoulder 12-inch figure bodies and KG Hobby Clear Action Figure Display stands. Scroll down to see more of each item photographed individually, including some things not shown in the main picture ;p

Got my hands on this Figure Club 1/6 scale The League of Shadows "Ducard" Ninja Shadow Master figure (pictured above and previewed HERE). Hot Toys never did release the Liam Neeson as Henri Ducard / Ra's al Ghul 12-inch figure even though he was the main villain in Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" film. Much prefer this version than "Ducard II" because he is without most of his armor then. See the preview pictures HERE

Then there's the Brother Production Presents 1/6 scale Sky Fall MI6 Agent "Bone" 12-inch Figure (previewed HERE). This was the first figure I pre-ordered because it was the first figure previewed way back in December 2012, before DID's 1/6 British Military Intelligence Section 6 (MI6) Agent "Jack" 12-inch Spy Figure (previewed HERE in May 2013) and ZCWO 1/6 scale Articulate Body AB02 (Limited Edition) 12-inch Figure which was reviewed HERE on my toy blog on May 27, 2013

Next up is this 1/6 scale Tom Hiddleston (Loki in The Avengers film) head sculpt which I was waiting to see released. I didn't get the Hot Toys Loki from The Avengers but I did want the head sculpt.

The Tom Hiddleston Loki head sculpt sits well on the Alpha Toys 1/6 scale Narrow Shoulder 12-inch figure body (think Hot Toys True Type body but way way cheaper (like only one-third the cost). How's that for an alternative? Hot Toys can keep their expensive bodies which I don't intend to pay for when I can find substitutes like these.

Why do I want the 1/6 scale Tom Hiddleston Loki head sculpt? I intend to use it with the Captain Action Loki 1/6 scale Costume Set which is a faithful production of the Marvel Comics version Loki.

Captain Action Costume Set for Loki comes with cloth Loki super villain costume, Loki mask, Loki helmet, staff, gloved casting hands, gloved fists, Uru chains, goblet, belt, boots, newspaper and build-a-figure Hawkeye body suit tunic.

I already have the Chris Hemsworth as Thor 1/6 scale head sculpt as a matching pair to Tom Hiddleston's Loki

The Hot Toys 1/6 scale Chris Hemsworth Thor head sculpt is on the Kaustic Plastik 12-inch Athletik Muscle Body KP03B Caucasian version (reviewed earlier HERE). You can check out my toy blog post of 1/6 scale figure body comparisons HERE

Chris Hemsworth will be wearing the Captain Action Thor Costume Set which is a 1/6 scale uniform / costume and equipment set of Marvel Comics Donald Blake Thor

Captain Action Costume Set for Thor comes with cloth Thor costume and cloth cape, Thor mask, Thor bearded mask, Mjolnir hammer, wrist bands, boots, Donald Blake's walking stick, belt, lightning blast, newspaper and build-a-figure Hawkeye body suit leggings and belt

I also got KG Hobby Clear Action Figure Display stands. I much prefer these CLEAR display stands because they give the illusion that the figure is free standing or flying in mid-air when the photo / picture is taken. I had blogged about Figure Display Stands earlier HERE and clearly (pun intended) you can tell I am all in favor of these stands which used to be only available with Medicom Toys figures but not any more :)

I'm not a Transformers collector although I do have some Transformers toys in my possession. That's because my eldest son was into "Beast Wars: Transformers" while growing up and we did not throw away any of his old toys but have kept them all in good condition all these years. See my post HERE of almost all his "Beast Wars: Transformers" toy collection :)

I've always liked this particular design of Transformers Prime Bulkhead Autobot figure, both in truck and robot mode, mainly because of it's bulkyness

An unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV), also known as a combat drone or drone, is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that is usually armed. These aircraft have no onboard human pilot. Operational drones are predominantly under real-time human control, with "the human's role in UCAV system [varying] according to levels of autonomy of UCAV and data communication requirement[s]". In recent years the U.S. has increased its use of drone strikes in Pakistan as part of the War on Terrorism.

I always wanted a combat drone and this Transformers Prime Decepticon Soundwave in recon drone mode is exactly what I was looking for, short of finding a 1/6 scale drone which might be too big in size
