Bruce Wayne is a billionaire industrialist whose parents were killed by a mugger when he was eight years old. Traveling the world for several years to seek the means to fight injustice, he returns to Gotham to be its protector and Dark Knight.
In the Christopher Nolan film "Batman Begins", Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) decides to travel and learn about the criminal underworld. In a Bhutanese prison, Henri Ducard offers to train him in the arts of stealth and fear as a member of the League of Shadows, led by Ra's al Ghul. After completing his training, Bruce learns the League's true intention is to destroy Gotham City, which it views as corrupt beyond saving. Bruce refuses to join them and burns down the League's temple in the process. Ra's is killed by falling debris, while Bruce saves an unconscious Ducard, leaving him with the local villagers.
This is a kitbash (or rather, a quick bash) of 1/6 scale Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne as a League of Shadows Ninja in "Batman Begins". Since I got the Figure Club 1/6 scale The League of Shadows "Ducard" Ninja Shadow Master figure (reviewed earlier in my toy blog and posted HERE and HERE), I just had to see how the 1/6 scale ninja outfit will look on 12-inch Christian Bale Bruce Wayne. Scroll down to see the rest of the pictures :)
Here's Hot Toys 1/6 scale Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne / Batman head sculpt on the Figure Club The League of Shadows "Ducard" Ninja Shadow Master 12-inch figure body wearing detachable samurai armor consisting of chest, shoulders, arms and crouch piece, ninja clothing set, boots with armor, katana and leather-like katana scabbard.
The katana is sheathed / stored in the leather-like katana scabbard on his back
Looks rather nice, don't you think? Great thing about 1/6 scale figures which are unlike stone-cast statues and smaller molded plastic action figures is that you can easily customize and / or kitbash your favorite character if all the parts are available.
Besides learning all the stealth and fighting skills from Liam Neeson's Henri Ducard / Ra's al Ghul before becoming Gotham City's Dark Knight, the Batman, Bruce also incorporates the gauntlet design into his Batman costume / Batsuit and proves its effectiveness in battle with the villains of Gotham City
Bruce Wayne: I seek... a means to fight injustice. To turn fear against those who prey on the fearful.
Alfred: Why bats, Master Wayne?
Bruce Wayne: Bats frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread.
Bruce Wayne: I'm going to show the people of Gotham that the city doesn't belong to the criminals and the corrupt. People need dramatic examples to shake them out of apathy. I can't do this as Bruce Wayne. A man is just flesh and blood and can be ignored or destroyed. But as a symbol... as a symbol, I can be incorruptible, everlasting.
