STGCC2015 Haul: Glitch Network Test Subject 56 figure, Jason Freeny 'Micro Anatomic' figures

Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2015 has come and gone. It's been a week since the show opened last Saturday and ended on Sunday after two full days of show and tell. There were lots of things to see and do, and I am glad I was there to catch up with all the sights and sounds ;p You can check out my coverage of STGCC2015 in six (06) toy blog posts from September 12, 2015 which was the first day of the convention. Just click on the STGCC label which will bring you up to date with all the STGCC posts.

I didn't come away empty handed either. These are my hauls from STGCC2015: Glitch Network Mitsuru Technology Bone Head Test Subject 56 aka Machine56 1/6th scale collectible figure, Jason Freeny 'Micro Anatomic' figures including the STGCC2015 exclusive which is the clear version and if you have been reading my toy blog, you know how much I dig clear and cross section stuff. Some of the cross section entries I've posted include: Tiger I Tank by Targa (reviewed HERE), Space Battleship Yamato Mechanic File Set (pictures HERE), National Geographic Illuminated Shark Model with dissectible body cavity (post HERE). Some clear (transparent) toys and action figure reviews: Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Class Optimus Prime (posted HERE and HERE), Bandai MS-06 Zaku II clear color version model kit (posted HERE), Bandai Gundam RX-78-2 clear color version model kit (reviewed HERE), 3D Crystal Jigsaw Puzzle Astro Boy (post HERE), Jason Freeny and 4D Master 41-piece 3D Gummi Bear Anatomy Puzzle Toy (pics HERE) and Jason Freeny and Mighty Jaxx 6-inch Dissected Gingerbread Man ABS Art Collectible (reviewed HERE)

The moment I saw Glitch Network Mitsuru Technology Bone Head Test Subject 56 aka Machine56 1/6th scale collectible figure on display, I was hooked. You can check out the figures on display at STGCC 2015 HERE. This was certainly an impulse buy because I did not plan on getting this 12-inch action figure at all and I had not pre-ordered it. These days almost every collectible has to be pre-ordered based on prototype pictures posted by the manufacturer and one has to wait several months to a year before seeing the actual product in-hand. Not really a lot of impulse buys these days as far as toys are concerned. Except in this case :)

A quick look at the Jason Freeny 'Micro Anatomic' figures which is very cool. New York City based artist and designer Jason Freeny's early success as an artist came with his creations of a series of fictional anatomical character schematics and illustrations in 2007. When he started creating anatomical toy sculptures, he became famous.

Artist, illustrator and toy designer Jason Freeny completed his trio of LEGO man dissections in 2012. Each figure stood 18 inches tall (45.7 cm) and now they have been replicated in miniature scale and made available for all of us to collect and enjoy.

Micro Anatomic is one of Jason's most popular works till date, it combines his ever popular trademark dissection style with everyone's childhood memories. These are 3 inches (7.6cm) tall ABS Art Collectible Blister Packed in clamshell. I got the Blue Mono version and the STGCC 2015 clear version as well.

More on these in later posts :) cheers!

Hello! Would you be interested in doing a review for Subject 56 at some point? I'm really interested in the figure but don't know enough about the overall quality and articulation to spend $200 on it.

Yes I will :) I'm excited about the figure and it will be one of the first few I review (if not the first) - stay tuned
