Review: Phicen Limited 1:6 scale Super-Flexible 12-inch Male Seamless Body the BEST one yet

This figure (12-inch muscle body) was from my most recent haul (posted earlier on my toy blog HERE) and I was quite blown away by this new seamless male body from Phicen Limited. This Phicen Limited 1:6 scale Super-Flexible 12-inch Male Seamless Body does not come with a head so I just plonked a 1/6 scale head sculpt that has the likeness of Jake Gyllenhaal from Hot Toys TTM19 TrueType Muscular Body Figure (see the full action figure review posted HERE) and began twisting and turning the body into shape and into various poses. I was quite surprised to find that this new male seamless body could be posed in almost every angle that was humanly possible, just like a regular normal human body would.

According to Phicen, the internal skeleton armature is made from durable stainless steel to withstand playability without being easily damaged or corrupted. Each armature have 28 points of articulation, using ball-jointed system, for maximum flexibility and movement. Each joint is designed to move freely and consistently with 90% accurate human movement. With the slightest effort, the bodies are capable of making countless dynamic poses to imitate any posture of any character.

I have to say I totally agree with what Phicen Limited claims the body can do. I have never come across a more flexible body than this. Boasting human-like skin texture, and being super flexible, posable and durable, this body could get into almost any pose without any problem. This figure can certainly take a dump on all the other figures that have come before because it can do things no other figures have done.

Hot Toys T-800 Terminator Figure (1984) REVIEW 1

The Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 Series 800 Terminator (T-800) was sent by Skynet in 2029 to Los Angeles in 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, the future mother of John Connor, the leader of the future human Resistance. It was the first Infiltrators sent back on assassination missions by Skynet, and is arguably the single most significant Terminator unit as it inadvertently "fathered" Skynet in its journey through time, much like how Kyle Reese fathered John Connor in his.

This is the recently released Hot Toys MMS136 (Movie Masterpiece Series) 1/6th scale T-800 12-inch Collectible Figure from "The Terminator" movie. "The Terminator" is a 1984 science fiction action film directed by James Cameron, co-written by Cameron and William Wisher Jr., and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, and Michael Biehn. It topped the American box office for two weeks and helped launch the film careers of James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Zombie Alert 2 – DAM Toys 1/6 scale Zombie German-SS Soldier 12-inch figure preview

continued from previous post...

No zombie German officer is complete without zombie German soldiers ;p or do zombies really have a leader? All I've seen of zombies are hordes moving as one in a mob mentality without any real leadership present. In 1932, Victor Halperin directed "White Zombie", a horror film starring Bela Lugosi. This film, capitalizing on the same voodoo zombie themes as Seabrook's book of three years prior, is often regarded as the first legitimate zombie film, and introduced the word "zombie" to the wider world.

A new version of the zombie, distinct from that described in Haitian religion, has emerged in popular culture in recent decades. This "zombie" is taken largely from George A. Romero's seminal film "The Night of the Living Dead", which was in turn partly inspired by Richard Matheson's 1954 novel "I Am Legend". The word zombie is not used in "Night of the Living Dead", but was applied later by fans. The monsters in the film and its sequels, such as "Dawn of the Dead" and "Day of the Dead", as well as its many inspired works, such as "Return of the Living Dead" and "Zombi 2", are usually hungry for human flesh although "Return of the Living Dead" introduced the popular concept of zombies eating brains.

Incoming: Toys Power 1/6 scale "V for Vendetta" 12-inch figure - Delivery: 5th of November?

"Remember, remember the 5th of November."

V for Vendetta is a 2006 American-German political action thriller film directed by James McTeigue and written by the Wachowskis, based on the 1982 Vertigo graphic novel of the same name by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. Set in the United Kingdom in a near-future dystopian society, Hugo Weaving portrays V—an anarchist freedom fighter who stages a series of terrorist attacks and attempts to ignite a revolution against the brutal fascist regime that has subjugated the United Kingdom and exterminated its opponents in concentration camps. Natalie Portman plays Evey, a working class girl caught up in V's mission, and Stephen Rea portrays the detective leading a desperate quest to stop V.

Hugo Weaving plays V: A charismatic and skilled freedom fighter who was the unwilling subject of experimentation by Norsefire. James Purefoy was originally cast as V, but left six weeks into filming, citing difficulties wearing the mask for the entire film. He was replaced by Weaving, who had previously worked with Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers on The Matrix series.

The film has been seen by many political groups as an allegory of oppression by government; libertarians and anarchists have used it to promote their beliefs. Activists belonging to the group Anonymous use the same Guy Fawkes mask popularized by the film when they appear in public at numerous high-profile events, emulating one of its key scenes. Lloyd is quoted saying: "The Guy Fawkes mask has now become a common brand and a convenient placard to use in protest against tyranny – and I'm happy with people using it, it seems quite unique, an icon of popular culture being used this way."
