Kankichi Ryotsu by Bandai (1997)

Another famous manga/anime figure (besides Akira, Appleseed, Ghost In A Shell's Motoko Kusanagi and Kerberos Panzer Cops) is Kankichi Ryotsu. "Ryo-san" is a 36-year old police officer with the mentality of a 12-year old (sounds like most of us - we grow old but we don't grow up - LOL). Street-smart, sporting a crew cut and stomping about in wooden sandals whilst in uniform, he's most keen in hatching money-making schemes, the fruits of which are invariably squandered on toys, gadgets and cheap entertainment.

Bandai released a series of Kankichi Ryotsu "Action Dolls" with 40 points of articulation in 1997 just as the toy industry was gathering steam. At that time, 40 points of articulation was an innovation itself, given GI Joe's stiff Hall of Fame figures and Action Man's slightly better physique.

Accessories include notebook, three mobile phones, a revolver, handcuffs and a "Tamagotchi" (hand-held digital pets created in 1996 that was all the rage when it was released - schools had to ban them as children were bringing them to school to continue "feeding" and "caring" for them or they die)

Also included in each box was a miniature figurine of a character from the series

The figure looks fantastic. Is this in 1/6 scale? Thanks.
