Rutger Hauer as Roy Batty was regarded by Philip K Dick (the writer of the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" on which the movie is based) as "the perfect Batty—cold, Aryan, flawless".
And this is my kitbash of a 1/6 scale 12-inch Rutger Hauer as Roy Batty, leader of the renegade Nexus-6 replicants and a "combat model".
His stats from Bryant's computer screen read:At the climax of the film, Roy Batty protectively cradles a pigeon. Most animals had ceased to exist by 2019, were either extinct or extremely rare, and had been replaced by elaborate biomechanical simulations.
Replicant (M) Des: BATTY (Roy)
NEXUS-6 N6MAA10816 [N6 = Nexus 6, M = Male, AA = Physical and Mental are both the highest grade, 100816 means his incept date was 8 January 2016.]
Incept Date: 8 JAN., 2016
Func: Combat, Colonization Defense Prog
Phys: LEV. A Mental: LEV. A
Roy Batty is seen as more than an android as he tries to extend his life in the hope of self preservation by seeking out his maker. Even as he deteriorates, he plays a game of cat and mouse with Deckard, and chases him onto the roofs, where Deckard ends up hanging for dear life on a metal beam high above the ground. Roy saves Deckard's life, accepts his inevitable fate with a smile and dies.
Roy's last words before he "expired":"I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to die."
