TTL Toys City Daniel Craig as WWII German Gestapo

Looks like a new figure from TTL / Toys City. They are calling it a World War II German Gestapo figure.

The Gestapo (contraction of Geheime Staatspolizei: "Secret State Police") was the official secret police of Nazi Germany under the overall administration of the Schutzstaffel (SS). The Gestapo had the authority to investigate treason, espionage and sabotage cases as well as cases of criminal attacks on the Nazi Party and Germany. The basic Gestapo law passed by the government in 1936 gave the Gestapo carte blanche to operate without judicial oversight. The Gestapo was specifically exempted from responsibility to administrative courts, where citizens normally could sue the state to conform to laws. The power of the Gestapo most open to misuse was called Schutzhaft – "protective custody", a euphemism for the power to imprison people without judicial proceedings. [from wiki]

This Gestapo figure from TTL / Toys City comes with TTL2.0 Body with "realistic" Head Sculpt, Black Hat, Black Tie, White Shirt, Black Suit, Black Leather Jacket, Black Shoes, Insignia and Walter PPK Pistol with Silencer.

Guess who's hiding under the hat?

He's none other than Daniel Craig of James Bond fame. Take away the German badge and he could easily pass for a secret agent spy

BUT unfortunately, this head sculpt "CANNOT MAKE IT LAH!" (which is Singlish for an exclamation denoting resignation and despair)

Especially since we have seen preview pictures of DiD's superb Daniel Craig head sculpt (see post HERE).

It seems like Daniel Craig is very popular in the current 12inch market..

The headsculpt sucks because it is a poor recast knock off of Feng's superior Bond headsculpt. Feng sold those for 200 per head

@Ritchie...

The box for this figure has some chinese writing on the bottom, along with 'FENG' written in huge capital letters.

There is no doubt this headsculpt of 007 is not as good as the 30 limited edition Feng scupts that he casted and painted himself and sold for 200 as you mentioned.

I will say, however...that this is a pretty good likeness and could be made even better with a repaint.

Take Care!

It looks really sharp. He would make such a great partner for my Sideshow Toht. I'd love to see it with the hat on forwards, though. ;-)

Hi Aaron,
Unfortunately I didn't purchase this figure but here's a post in the OSW forum of someone who did

@lex- Thanks for the link. Wow! That's the way they show him on the box, too. Have the folks at Toys City never seen a fedora? Bizarre! I'll have to track this toy down.

You are most welcome Aaron. The problem with 1/6 scale is that the hat will always look too big for the head which was why Sideshow made their Indiana Jones 12-inch figure with the fedora molded on in order to make it look as realistic as possible.
