Review Super Duck C003 1/6 scale Hamburg Uncle Joker clothes set. Is it Ronald McDonald?

Ronald McDonald is a clown character used as the primary mascot of the McDonald's fast-food restaurant chain. In television commercials, the clown inhabits a fantasy world called McDonaldland, and has adventures with his friends Mayor McCheese, the Hamburglar, Grimace, Birdie the Early Bird, and The Fry Kids. In recent years, McDonaldland has been largely phased out, and Ronald is instead shown interacting with normal kids in their everyday lives.

Super Duck has recently released this 1/6 scale Hamburg Uncle Joker clothes set (C003) which looks to be based on Ronald McDonald the clown. Touted as a Funny set of outfits for your 1/6th scale action figure, it comes with the following: Shirt, Tie, Vest, Pants, pair of socks, pair of shoes, pair of gloved hands, and a hamburger. The company says that the outfit fits most 12-inch action figure body in the market.

Since I don't have a 1/6 scale Ronald McDonald head sculpt, I decided to go with the Joker's head sculpt instead. And which better Joker to play clown than the character portrayed by Heath Ledger in "The Dark Knight". I chose the Hot Toys 1/6th scale Bank Robber Joker head sculpt for this particular photo shoot. You can see more of Hot Toys 12-inch Bank Robber Joker pictures in my toy blog post HERE. Scroll down to see the rest of the pictures of the Joker posing as the clown.

As you can see from the picture above, all the 1/6 scale items listed are laid out. Picture below gives a close-up view of the 1/6 scale vest that belongs to Super Duck C003 1/6 scale Hamburg Uncle Joker clothes set. Plus the 1/6 scale hamburger

Hamburg Uncle Joker socks (without the feet portion), shoes ("boot-feet" type) and gloves

Okay, one gripe: the boot-feet! It was impossible to fit the "boot-feet" shoes to the Hot Toys TrueType body leg pegs / connectors because the sockets on the shoes are just too small! I had to use the feet connectors that came with the Coo Model 1/6 scale Skeleton Soldier 12-inch figure (reviewed HERE) but then they were too small to fill the shoe sockets entirely. The shoes fit but gave no support to the figure at all (they could rotate and spin 360 degrees) and I had to use a figure stand as a result of that. That's why I still prefer 1/6 scale shoes that actually allow the feet to be slipped into because they are definitely better IMHO

Apart from the shoe issue (which is quite a major bummer because if I didn't have the smaller feet connectors from Coo Model 1/6 scale Skeleton Soldier 12-inch figure, I wouldn't be able to put them on at all), I quite like this Super Duck C003 1/6 scale Hamburg Uncle Joker clothes set

Would you like a hamburger? If the Joker were to sell hamburgers, I'm sure many kids will stay away from them which would actually be a good thing, right? Obesity and overweight have in the last decade become a global problem - according to the World Health Organization (WHO) back in 2005 approximately 1.6 billion adults over the of age 15+ were overweight, at least 400 million adults were obese and at least 20 million children under the age of 5 years were overweight.

And I think part of the reason for the world's obesity and overweight issue lies in the Western influence of eating fast food :( Wherever McDonald's fast-food restaurant chain has gone, obesity tends to rear its ugly head.
