Soldier Story 1/6 USAF CCT (Combat Control Team) Expo Exclusive PREVIEW

For the 10th Annual CMEXPO (China Model Exposition), Soldier Story will be releasing this exclusive 1:6 scale USAF Combat Control Team (CCT) 12-inch figure. The figure seems to be saying "Hurry! Hurry! Go that way to grab your exclusives before they run out of stocks!"

The MSA Paraclete Concealment Vest Carrier is nice; it is the same type that came with BBI Joe Brennan. The HK416 also looks to be well done with lots of details.

The 1/6 scale HS (headsculpt) is from the earlier released Soldier Story Wiking Grenadier (Hungary 1945) 12-inch figure. I always find that any figure looks funny with his mouth open 24/7. It's like 7-eleven, always open. Their old tagline was "Always close but never closed". Even when the figure is just standing there, he's like screaming or shouting at the top of his voice, not cool IMHO

The big Red X at the center looks like a target for the enemy saying "shoot here" but it is actually Alabama's state flag.

Here's a close-up of the highly detailed HK416 with IZLID (Infrared Zoom Laser Illuminator Designator)

The inclusion of the IZLID (Infrared Zoom Laser Illuminator Designator) pointer is NICE and it definitely makes this exclusive figure more CCT than some previous figures with the same title. The amazing thing is that this little flashlight looking Illuminator replaces the giant hulking laser emitters of old. This is what is used to mark the target for the laser-guided missiles to home in on.

And then there is this Soldier Story and Cal-Tek USAF Combat Control Team (CCT) which is the One Sixth Xpo (1:6 XPO 2011) exclusive. Notice any difference? It's Josh Duhamel who played US Army Captain William Lennox in the "Transformers" series.

Why does he carry two radios? Most likely so that he can work two networks. One for the sky (talking to the aircraft) and one for ground communications. As you can see he also has both wired into his headset which is very cool. I like the attention to detail.

My gripe is "Where's his helmet?!"

It seems like Soldier Story is releasing this figure as an expo exclusive so maybe we in Singapore might get a chance to own this when STGCC 2011 opens on Saturday, August 20 at 11:00am - August 21 at 8:00pm.

Maybe this time the Josh HS is proportionate to the big body.haha :D It seems that SS is releasing 3 identical sets...those two plus a ranger set wearing almost the same thing...

yup, no more small shrunken heads :) that's a relief. i prefer this CCT to the Ranger because of the double radios and the HK416 with IZLID.

yep! 2 radios are a must get. Are these all multicam uniforms? the shade seems brighter..or are mine just dirty? haha

seems to be MultiCam ;p there's always this debate about how accurate these 1/6 scale versions are in comparison to the 1:1 versions. looks close enough to me CHEERS
