Preview DAM Toys Gangsters Kingdom 1/6 Spade 2 12-inch figure - animated Vinnie Jones

DAM Toys surprised everyone when they first released pictures of their upcoming new line of Gangsters Kingdom 1/6 scale figures with Spade J who looked a lot of an animated Jason Statham 12-inch figure (check out my earlier post HERE)

Well, DAM TOYS has just released preview / prototype pictures of their second 1/6 scale Gangsters Kingdom figure which they are calling Spade 2 (GK002#) and he looks a lot like Vinnie Jones! Vincent Peter "Vinnie" Jones (born 5 January 1965) is a British actor and former professional footballer.

DAM Toys Gangsters Kingdom 1/6 Spade 2 12-inch figure will come with 1/6 scale head sculpt, 12-inch Action Figure body, sunglasses, Black T-shirt, Long Sleeve Tee (hooded sweater), Baseball Jacket, blue jeans, skating board shoes (one pair), interchangeable hands x 3, Remington 870 Compact Shotgun, metal baseball bat, whiskey flask, whiskey flask carrier, Gold watch, Gold Necklace.

Well you certainly don't want to mess with Vinnie (DAM Toys Gangsters Kingdom Spade 2) because Jones was renowned for his "hard man" image during his playing days. He was sent off 12 times in his career, as well as holding the record for the quickest ever booking in a football match, being booked after just three seconds for a foul on the opposition player Dane Whitehouse in a Premier League tie between Chelsea and Sheffield United in 1992. Vinnie Jones made his 1998 feature film debut in Guy Ritchie's "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" alongside Jason Statham. The film brought Guy Ritchie international acclaim and introduced actors Vinnie Jones, a former Welsh international footballer, and Jason Statham, a former street merchant and men's wear model, to worldwide audiences. Jones later starred in Guy Ritchie's next blockbuster "Snatch" as Bullet-Tooth Tony. Jason Statham was in that one too, along with Brad Pitt.

I just love the artist who sculpted the two head sculpts for Spade J (Jason Statham) and Spade 2 (Vinnie Jones). You can tell right away who the characters are supposed to be even though they are done in caricature style.

Check out that head sculpt - AWESOME!!!

I can't wait to get my hands on these two DAM Toys Gangsters Kingdom 1/6 scale Spade 12" figures. They are just one of the beautiful things to come out this year for 12-inch figure collectors. And the best part is, they are NOT pricey like Hot Toys customized series of figures which cost more than even their movie licensed figures. I just don't get that!

Check out that baseball jacket - DEATH baseball!

Medicom Toys had released a 12-inch GANG figure who also wielded a baseball bat some time back: Kai from the Saru gang in the anime series "Tokyo Tribe 2". You can check out the pictures HERE

I like this line because even as time goes on and there r advances in figure technology, bodies, accessories, sculpture techniques, paint apps, and future releases of these characters, they'll remain relevant. Because they're more of an art piece rather than a realistic replication. Sometimes it bothers me to buy a newer version of a character i already have, mainly because the prices of 1/6 figs r skyrocketing.and there r so many representations of the same characters reproduced so rapidly.

Wow... DAM Toys are on top form with this. I reckon he'll look amazing in a suit, a proper gangster :)

I wonder who else they're going to caricature for this series? It's got to be another British actor, surely? :D

Long live this line... I think Statham looks cooler, but I'll bite on this as well.

Was hoping to at least have Statham in hand to judge its quality before the 2nd member from this line is PO-ed.

How're the quality of products from Dam?

Reply to anonymous: Right on the money :) These figures are so uniquely different and yet such affordable art pieces which only goes to show that what other companies are charging us collectors are way too high and too much. They are charging us a bomb so that they can make HUGE profits from our hard earned money to which I say "NAY!" Enough with the skyrocketing prices! Enough with the paint variants and different representations of the same character (plain, skeletal, battle-damaged, half skeletal and half human, single color armor, multi-color armor, battle-damaged armor, kungfu fighter in yellow tracksuit, kungfu fighter in chinese attire, kungfu fighter in black skin-tight suit, kungfu fighter in civilain suits of different styles etc) ... I'll stop buying and move on to other companies which offer me different stuff at better (meaning lower and affordable value-for-money) prices

Let them surprise us every time BigHatDino :) it's more exciting this way. At least I don't have to guess whether it's going to be a Mark I version 3.0 or Mark II silver / chrome or Mark VI followed by Mark VII, VIII and IX (sigh - same old, same old repaints of the same armor and sold to unsuspecting buyers)

Whoa, I love it!, what I don´t get is why he dresses that way. Instead of wearing any clothes he wears in a movie.

Thanks for adding my blog to your list ALex!!

I don't think it's movie-based. Just so happens that the two figures are related to each other in some way i.e. british and grunge ;p

You are most welcome :) Jako. Great blog!

I am so incredibly impressed. I think someone just found a new success story in the 1/6 business. After being priced gauged by Enterbay and Hot Toys (with only ThreeA remaining affordable), it's so nice to see a new line that offers figures at incredibly affordable prices. Not only that, but the faces of both characters are incredibly dynamic and interesting. I'm so tired of the neutral bland faces each and everytime a figure is released. Somehow these finely articulated pieces seem realistic because the faces are actually making lifelike expressions. Dam you DamToys! Instant buy! -Matt

Yes Matt :) everyone seems to feel the same way you do regarding sky rocketing prices and increasingly unaffordable toys. These DAM Gangster toys are just the thing we need to shake up the industry YAY!
