The latest figure by MC Toys: M-035 will be a 1/6 scale SAS CRW (1987-2000) 12" action figure

This is the latest offering by MC (Magic Cube) Toys: M-035 will be a 1/6 scale SAS CRW (1987-2000) 12-inch action figure. The Special Air Service or SAS is a regiment of the British Army constituted on 31 May 1950. It is part of the United Kingdom Special Forces (UKSF) and has served as a model for the special forces of many other countries all over the world. 22 SAS gained fame and recognition worldwide after successfully assaulting the Iranian Embassy in London and rescuing hostages during the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege, lifting the regiment from obscurity outside the military establishment.

The SAS CRW (Counter Revolutionary Warfare) was formed in 1975 after Prime Minister Edward Heath asked the Ministry of Defence to prepare for any possible terrorist attack similar to the massacre at the 1972 Summer Olympics. SAS CRW is trained in Close Quarter Battle (CQB) and sniper techniques and specialises in hostage rescue in buildings or on public transport.

MC Toys M-035 1/6 scale SAS CRW (1987-2000) 12-inch action figure will come with 1/6 scale Real Like Head sculpt, 12-inch Action Figure Body, Gas Mask, Gas Mask Cover, Bulletproof Vest, Pigskin Vest, Aircrew Knife, Radio with PTT and Mic, Abseil Harness, 8 Type Drop Ring, D Ring x 2, Leather Belt, Leather Pistol Holster, Leather Triple Magazine Carrier, Leather 9mm Magazine Carrier, Green Sling, Leather Boots, Pilot's Gloves, Flashbang Grenade x 2, MP5A3 SMG, 4 SMG Magazines, P226 Pistol, 3 pistol Magazines, Blue Piece Suit, Shotgun bullets red x 10, Shotgun bullets blue x 10, Cable Ties x 2. Scroll down to see all the pictures

The last SAS figure I reviewed was the Loading Toys 22 SAS Regiment which was posted in my toy blog HERE. That set had no 12-inch figure, just the SAS outfit and equipment, including weapons.

I have a certain affinity for the SAS because it was an Action Man 1/6 scale SAS CRW 12-inch figure from the 1980s that got me started on my 1/6 scale figure collecting hobby back in 1994. You can check out how the vintage SAS figure looks like in my post dating back to October 2007 HERE

IMHO the best 1/6 scale SAS CRW 12-inch figure produced and released so far has to be the Medicom Cro-Magnon MSFS (Medicom Special Forces Series) 1 - SAS (Special Air Service), released in 2000. You can check out the full review HERE :)

Comparing this upcoming release of the MC Toys M-035 1/6 scale SAS CRW (1987-2000) 12-inch action figure to the one released by Medicom Toys in 2000, it does seem a bit lacking in accessories.

It's still nicely done and I'll most likely be getting this figure and adding him to the SAS collection

The 1/6 scale head sculpt reminds me of the Welsh actor Luke Evans, as seen in "Fast and Furious 6" as Owen Shaw, a former Special Air Service soldier now leading a heist gang.

Still a nice old-school figure though.

just got this fig...and I have t say....I am liking it, I was afraid the jumpsuit would be too blue but it actually ok, the downside to this figure tho is no balaclavar and no helmet as well as I have no clue to even how I am suppose to get the gloves on him....Alex if you can help in that reguard I would be uber appreciative! but yes...besides those, the figure is definitely a must!

The gloves are put on the hands just like we would 1:1 scale and you will need to use a credit card to ease the fabric in between the fingers for a good fit. The credit card will not tear the fabric and the process does call for a bit of patience. Time is the key as you will need to do this patiently and not blow your top while at it. Cheers
