US ARMY RANGER 75th REGIMENT with SCAR-L

Reasons for choosing this Hot Toys US ARMY RANGER 75th REGIMENT with Mk.16 (SCAR-L) over their US ARMY RANGER 75th REGIMENT with M249 - ONE: there's only so much moolah, can't buy everything :( TWO: there's already at least one M249 gunner in my collection (USMC M249 gunner) THREE: not too keen on Edward Norton, FOUR: Terence Howard preferred after his role as Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes, military liaison officer to Tony Stark in the "Iron Man (2008)" movie, FIVE: It's a SCAR-L with grenade launcher!!!

Hot Toys never disappoint and always give us bells and whistles, plus the kitchen sink thrown in :)

Terence Howard - he got my attention when he played the part of Detective Mercer in "The Brave One (2007)" alongside Jodie Foster (She won an Oscar for Best Actress in 1988 for playing a rape survivor in The Accused. In 1991, she won her second Oscar as Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs, which won five Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress and Best Actor for Sir Anthony Hopkins as Dr Hannibal Lecter)

Nowadays, it seems like the soldiers are looking more like PMCs, wearing vest and slacks - in this case ACU pants, green vest and Foliage Green Fleece Jacket. The other Hot Toys ranger wears a PCU jacket over his ACU pants. What gives? What happened to their uniforms?
