Review II: iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs 12-inch Figure - iCEO to Apple: "Catch me if you can!"

Like I said before (see previous post), "This one actually got produced." This is the second of my two-part REVIEW of the iCEO 1/6th scale custom Steve Jobs 12-inch figure that was released most recently. I had already covered the box packaging and its contents in the previous post, showing pictures of the 1/6th scale Apple products that were made, including iPad, iPhone, Macbook and iMac with a mouse and keyboard. In this toy blog post, I'll be showing pictures of the 12-inch Steve Jobs figure and close-ups of the iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs head sculpt.

Please NOTE: The iCEO Steve Jobs figure does not come with the 1/6th scale apple. The apple is just something I have from my kitbash stash and just seems appropriate for this photo shoot. If you have to ask why, then you certainly don't know who Steve Jobs was ;p

Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American businessman, designer and inventor. He is best known as the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. Through Apple, he was widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields. [source: wiki]

What the iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs 12-inch Figure comes with: two pairs of glasses / round frameless spectacles, black long sleeve shirt, blue jeans with belt and buckle, New Balance shoes / sneakers and the Apple products I mentioned earlier: iPad, iPhone, Macbook and iMac with a mouse and keyboard.

Scroll down for turnaround views of the iCEO Steve Jobs figure. The 12-inch figure body comes with a pair of hands with bendy fingers.

According to wiki, Steve Jobs usually wore a black long-sleeved mock turtleneck made by Issey Miyake (that was sometimes reported to be made by St. Croix), Levi's 501 blue jeans, and New Balance 991 sneakers. Jobs told Walter Isaacson "...he came to like the idea of having a uniform for himself, both because of its daily convenience (the rationale he claimed) and its ability to convey a signature style."

And New Balance sneakers (all in 1/6th scale)

So how does the head sculpt measure up? Not too bad, me thinks... there is a certain resemblance to the man and they managed to capture Steve Jobs likeness in 1/6th scale

Close-up pictures taken of the iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs head sculpt, showing frontal and side views :) Scroll down to see more. I like how the 1/6th scale spectacles managed to be made almost to scale without appearing too oversized! Technology in producing 1/6th scale stuff has certainly come a long way.

There you have it :) I finally managed to get my hands on a 1/6th scale Steve Jobs 12-inch figure and he comes with very nice accessories too. You can see the accessories in the previous post ;p
