Due Soon from Mivi: Ethan and Sonny 1/6th scale Figures - a man and his dog (BFF)

Coming soon from MIVI (another new company or an existing one with a new brand name just in case they get slapped with a lawyer's letter to cease and desist): 1/6th scale Figures Ethan and Sonny, a 12-inch  (30cm) figure and his dog companion, man's best friend.

Due Date is a 2010 American comedy road film directed by Todd Phillips, co-written by Alan R Cohen, Alan Freedland, and Adam Sztykiel, and starring Robert Downey, Jr and Zach Galifianakis. Peter Highman (Robert Downey, Jr) ends up on a road trip with Ethan Tremblay / Ethan Chase (Zach Galifianakis) and his dog Sonny.

Zachary Knight "Zach" Galifianakis garnered mainstream attention for his role as Alan Garner in the comedy film The Hangover and its sequel The Hangover Part II.

This 1/6th scale 12-inch figure is supposed to be Zach Galifianakis' character Ethan Tremblay / Ethan Chase from "Due Date" with Robert Downey Jr. Mivi: Ethan 1/6th scale Figure comes with Ethan head sculpt, 12-inch Figure body, 1/6th scale Figure Stand and three Interchangeable hand types (i.e. one extra hand plus two on him). He also has Sunglasses, Sponge underwear ("It is a Bigger belly function" i.e. padded underwear / fat body suit over standard 12-inch figure body), pink sweater, Vest, Scarf, Pants and Shoes

The dog is his pet Sonny and it comes with the "cone of shame". There's also a leash for Sonny.

Dog tag says "DUE DATE Sonny"

Ethan was on his way to Hollywood with his dog Sonny after his father's funeral, and carried his father's ashes in a coffee can for the duration of the trip. A coffee can and cup is also included. I doubt that there are any ashes in the can ;p

[Peter's trying to sleep, with Ethan sat next to him in the car]
Peter Highman: What's that sound?
Ethan Tremblay: What sound?
Peter Highman: Mmm, it stopped.
[the faint tapping sound starts again]
Peter Highman: Okay, it's back.
Ethan Tremblay: Oh, that's me. I'm just masturbating.
Peter Highman: What? Why?
Ethan Tremblay: This is how I go to sleep.
Peter Highman: Oh, don't, don't, don't. Don't, don't, don't! Come on, man. I'm right here next to you.
Ethan Tremblay: Shut your eyes, Peter.
Peter Highman: They're closed. The sound!
Ethan Tremblay: Just bare with me.
Peter Highman: How long is this gonna take?
Ethan Tremblay: Well, if you keep interrupting me it will take a little bit longer. But usually it just takes about thirty five minutes.
Peter Highman: Is that all?
Sonny: "umph....umph....umph....umph"
Peter: "Your f**king dog is doing it to!"
Ethan: "Sonny! Stop! Sonny! No! Stop! Good boy

It's great to see that the 1/6th scale market is ever expanding... even if there are some rather bizarre and random sightings seen from time to time. The more the merrier I suppose? More options for toy collectors everywhere and something for everyone haha. Not everyone wants to have twenty or more Hot Toys Iron Man painted in so many different colors I guess ;p
