Kitbash 1:6 scale Brad Pitt as WWII U.S. Army staff sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collier 12" figure

This is my attempt at kitbashing a 1:6 scale Brad Pitt as WWII U.S. Army staff sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collier 12-inch military figure. I managed to come across a 1/6th scale Brad Pitt head sculpt made to look like the character he portrayed in the 2014 American war film "FURY". In the movie, Brad Pitt is a battle-hardened U.S. Army staff sergeant in the 66th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Division named Don "Wardaddy" Collier who commands an M4 Sherman "Easy Eight" tank named Fury with all-veteran crew: gunner Boyd "Bible" Swan (Shia LaBeouf); loader Grady "Coon-Ass" Travis (Jon Bernthal); and driver Trini "Gordo" Garcia (Michael Peña).

Having received the head sculpt in the mail, I had to put together the rest of the parts to make the complete man / figure. So I got to finding the rest of the stuff from the stash I have in the house and this is what I came out with. You can check out my "Stash for Bash" toy blog post HERE where I covered a little on the 1:6 stuff needed for kitbashing. I'm pretty happy with this kitbashed Brad Pitt "Wardaddy" 12-inch figure from "FURY". I like it as much as the kitbashed 1:6 scale Daniel Craig as Tuvia Bielski from the 2008 film "Defiance" which I did back in 2008 - see my post HERE for pictures.

1:6 scale Brad Pitt as WWII U.S. Army staff sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collier 12-inch figure is wearing US Army WWII Tanker Jacket, Binoculars, Army green shirt, Army green pants, Leather holster, S&W Revolver, Brown Boots, Leather lace legging top, tactical gloves.

Here are close-up pictures taken of the 1:6 scale Brad Pitt as WWII U.S. Army staff sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collier head sculpt. A dear friend pointed out that "Hollywood plays "fast and loose" with WW2 history once again with action figure companies duplicating the error. Brad Pitt's hair cut is much too modern to be authentic. The US military life usually began with a buzz cut done with an electric razor zip, zip, zip -- down to the scalp. There are historic photos of ELVIS getting his buzz cut when he went into the military. Once soldiers were in the field their hair could grow out and those "behind the lines" usually opted for the traditional "crew cut" or a very modified "normal" hair length. The FURY hair cut reflects modern styles rather than historic ones."

the haircut while incorrect for his character, is only so because of him being U>S. in fact it was a popular cut for those in several german units, including 9th ss where there are several pictures of it. also the jacket has the 3rd armored division patch
