Hot Toys MMS313 Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi 1/6 Boba Fett figure (Deluxe Version)

In Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, Jabba the Hutt has sentenced Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca to death by casting them into the Great Pit of Carkoon on Tatooine, but Luke Skywalker has saved themselves from the terrible fate by fending off the fearsome bounty hunter Boba Fett and Jabba’s minions! In a memorable moment in the film, Han Solo accidentally hits Boba Fett and knocked the Mandalorian down into the Sarlacc’s pit.

No thanks. I've got the SSC figure, which sports the ESB look (the much preferred look and color scheme for me). The SSC version also has a MUCH cooler base (and I have no use for a sarlacc pit to hover my Fett figure over, especially one with that ridiculous Special-Editionized beak in it). And finally, my SSC Fett was a reasonable price. This is probably going to be near the $300 mark, which is not.

Oh yeah, AND the SSC version includes far more hands AND even different feet! (By the way, why does the Hot Toys version appear to be sculpted to look like he's pointing his toes up a little?)

So, again, no thanks.

I think a lot of people feel burned that hot toys is re-doing the figs that sideshow has already done. I have the sideshow boba fett. Great fig, but i never like the vest armor. It flared out in a weird way by the waist. The plates of armor were also flush with the material. This looks more realistic. Looks like hot toys greatly improved on it.

I would like to own and add this to my humble collection of 1/6 figures. But the price is out of my budget. It looks like a fairly simple but nice figure. I cant justify it costing so much.( just me perhaps ) . But as its boba fett/star wars. Im sure itll sell . Sigh. Perhaps ill opt for a cheaper 1/6 scale boba.
