Kitbash 1/6th scale Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man 12" figure (parts unknown)

While we are on the subject of alter egos and what a superhero wears when he's not saving the city / world / galaxy - see previous toy blog post HERE - how about what Spider-Man wears when he's not wall crawling or web swinging around New York city.

There have been quite a number of Spider-Man films made. The first Spider-Man film I ever saw was the 1977 American live-action made-for-television superhero film with Nicholas Hammond as Peter Parker / Spider-Man. Then came the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man (3 films) followed by The Amazing Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield in the lead role and the latest actor to fill those shoes is Tom Holland in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017).

I picked this guy up the other day and he's basically a kitbash 1/6th scale Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker (Spider-Man) 12-inch figure from The Amazing Spiderman (2012). The outfit resembles the PIRP 1/6th scale Spider Boy Amazing Winter Casual Wear Set (posted earlier on my toy blog HERE) but it is not the same outfit although similar elements are present.

This 1:6th scale Andrew Garfield / Peter Parker / Spider-Man 12-inch figure kitbash consists of Andrew Garfield head sculpt on a Hot Toys TrueType body with Metallic Glasses (spectacles frame only), long sleeve sweater, light grey blue tee, deep blue sleeveless hoodie, deep greenish jacket (M65 Parka Jacket), black casual pants, casual shoes, deep blue backpack, camera and skateboard.

The picture above shows the 1/6th scale Andrew Garfield head sculpt without glasses whereas the picture below shows the same head with glasses on. Also note that the camera that came with this set is quite poorly made when compared to the Leica M6 camera shown in the pictures below. The highly detailed camera was part of the Playhouse D-Boy Battle of Mogadishu Operation Spy in Bakara Market (Somalia, 1993) set that came out in 2010 - see the action figure review posted on my toy blog HERE and HERE
