"Taxi Driver" is a 1976 American drama film directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Paul Schrader. The film is set in New York City, soon after the Vietnam War and stars Robert De Niro together with Albert Brooks, Harvey Keitel, Leonard Harris, Peter Boyle, Cybill Shepherd, and a young Jodie Foster. The film was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and won the Palme d'Or at the 1976 Cannes Film Festival. [source: wiki]
The film gained further notoriety when John Hinckley, Jr. confessed that it was his obsession with Foster's role that made him attempt to assassinate Ronald Reagan in 1981.
This is the recently released Brother Production Special Edition 1/6 scale Cab Driver "Travis" from their Crazy Killer Collection Series 170. There is no doubt who "Travis" is supposed to be. In "Taxi Driver", Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro) is a lonely and depressed young man, and a former Marine living in Manhattan.
Back of the box gives a list of the contents but since this is the SPECIAL limited EDITION, there are some more surprises inside ;)
Straight out of the box - Brother Production 1/6 scale 12-inch Cab Driver "Travis" (Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle) wearing a Mohawk haircut, M-65 army jacket over a white shirt, blue denim pants / jeans with belt and buckle, and leather cowboy boots. There are some things hidden under the jacket which we'll see later.
Besides the original 1/6 scale head sculpt of "Travis" (Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle) with Mohawk hairstyle, there's also the wounded head sculpt as well. IMHO this is one of the better headsculpts of Robert De Niro as the resemblance is quite good and the likeness to the actor is pretty much there.
The Brother Production 1/6 Cab Driver "Travis" wounded head sculpt comes with blood stains...
and more blood, plus the wound he suffered in the gunfight near the end of the movie
This is the Brother Production SPECIAL limited EDITION 1/6 scale Cab Driver "Travis" head sculpt which is of a young Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle with full crop of hair, as he appears in most of the film. This is certainly a very NICE addition to the Mohawk head TRAVIS
"Taxi Driver" is particularly important to De Niro's career; his iconic performance as Travis Bickle shot him to stardom and forever linked De Niro's name with Bickle's famous "You talkin' to me?" monologue, which De Niro largely improvised.
Also included with the SPECIAL EDITION Brother Production 1/6 scale 12-inch Cab Driver "Travis" is this World War II US Army Tank jacket with the Gorilla patch on the arm. This jacket looks a lot like the 2003 Dragon released US Army Tank Crewman winter combat jacket which was worn by Staff Sergeant "Mac" (see my post "World War II - Beginning of the End"). It even has the DML insignia on the zipper tab but it is still a nice inclusion to go with the young Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle with full crop of hair headsculpt, before he cut it off for the Mohawk look.
Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro) in Taxi Driver wore this version of the Tank jacket with the Gorilla patch on the arm for most of the film. The jacket has his name stenciled on the back. He only wore the M-1965 Field Jacket near the end. The M65 jacket was widely used by United States troops during the Vietnam War. The M65 field jacket was introduced into the U.S. military in 1965 to replace existing field jacket models servicemen had worn since WWII.
Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro) purchases four handguns from "Easy Andy" (Steven Prince), the illegal gun salesman. Brother Production has included all four guns in their Crazy Killer Collection Series 170 1/6 scale Cab Driver "Travis" boxed set - from left to right: Smith & Wesson Model 36, Astra Constable, Smith & Wesson Escort and Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44 Magnum. Also included is the bayonet which Bickle attaches to his boot with duct tape and the forearm drawer slide doohickey Travis constructed.
Finally there's the 1:1 scale King Kong Company patch plus 2 extra pairs of hands for various poses

Hi Ryan
As far as I know, the gun only came with this figure and this figure itself is pretty rare. A similar gun will be released soon by ZCWO as part of their Firearms Collection Set A (link: http://www.tfh.com.sg/product_details.php?prod_id=6887) Hope it helps.
Cheers
Alex
