PREVIEW of Sideshow STAR WARS 1:6 Blackhole Stormtrooper

Since Sideshow Collectibles' announcement that they will be releasing the Star Wars Blackhole Stormtrooper or Shadow Stormtrooper, official pictures have now been released of these specialized Imperial stormtroopers, an elite squadron within the Imperial stormtroopers who were assigned an experimental cloaking armor, allowing them to disappear in virtually any environment.

Their most distinguishing feature was their all-black armor—a stark contrast to the typical white armor common to other stormtroopers. This unique black armor provided some stealth benefits, which resulted from the stygian-triprismatic polymer material used in the production of the armor. Shadow stormtroopers also carried cloaking devices that rendered them invisible for a short period of time.

So Sideshow takes their existing 12-inch Imperial Stormtrooper mold (reviewed HERE and HERE), sprays it with black matte paint and re-packages it as a 1:6 Blackhole Stormtrooper. Me thinks they should charge us less for these as they already have the designs and molds.

Looks like it has the same no neck problem you described with the stormtrooper hah.

From what's here it looks kinda disappointing that the accessories aren't really spectacular for a product like this.

Looks like i have to pass.

Star Wars character could sure use some "big" guns for a change. Look like a water gun to me (no offense to all the fans out there) ...:)
