New from ZCWO: PCU Mark SNIPER

Another military figure to be released soon is this ZCWO (ZC World) Military Specialist Sniper PMC Mark. ZC WOrld had already released a PMC Mark figure recently. That had the Modern Warfare 2 (MW2): John "Soap" MacTavish in "Favela" (term for a shanty town in Brazil) look - see the pictures HERE

This time, the same character comes dressed in PCU (Protective Combat Uniform - specifically designed for Special Operation Forces in response to a need for lighter and warmer apparel that was also fast drying. The soft shell fabric jacket and pants are made with fibers encapsulated with silicone that are highly stretchable, windproof, water repellant and breathable), CheyTac Intervention M-200 sniper rifle with carrying case, Brügger & Thomet (B&T) TP-9 machine pistol, binoculars, GPS, grenades and cylume sticks in a weapons case with wheels

Other than the outfit and weapons, this figure is pretty basic - no load bearing vest, assault vest or bullet-proof vest for that matter. I suppose if you have to be a sniper, you should be very far away from the target and therefore, away from any immediate danger hence the lack of additional loads that might weigh you down.

The outfit is simple but nice and gives this figure a certain edge

This latest version "Mark" has a scar on his face, makes him look more bada$$

The Steyr TMP (Taktische Maschinenpistole/Tactical Machine Pistol) is a select-fire 9x19mm Parabellum caliber machine pistol manufactured by the Austrian company, Steyr Mannlicher. It is renowned for its controllability, allowing a shooter to accurately fire the weapon in bursts of more than 10-15 rounds, instead of the typical two or three round bursts that other machine pistols are limited to. Magazines come in 15 or 30 round detachable box types. In 2001, Steyr sold the design to Brügger & Thomet[1] who developed it into the Brügger & Thomet TP-9. [source: wiki]

This 1/6 Brügger & Thomet (B&T) TP-9 machine pistol doesn't come with a sling or holster which makes it difficult for PMC "Mark" to put it aside when he runs out of ammo and needs his sidearm backup weapon

Another recent 1/6 12-inch figure dressed in PCU was the Brother Production PMC (Private Military Contractor) "Tom" which had some resemblance to a famous Hollywood actor who got a lot of flak for his couch jumping incident on "Oprah" (hint: he used to be a TOP GUN before he got shot for plotting to assassinate Adolf Hitler during the Second World War)

Hi

I just bought this and just realized the sidearm came without any magazine? Saw your post and perhaps you own this piece as well and could enlighten me on my query. Thanks so much for replying.

Hi Jon

i didn't get this set but it does stand to reason that they would include a pistol magazine with the set. sometimes they don't give spare mags but at least the one in the pistol should be there. happened to me once before as well (with the HT Royce figure, no less) but i had a spare mag somewhere so it helped :)

Hi Alex...A question about the B&T TP9 that comes with this figure...Is it as "oversized" as the one that comes with the SS Firefly figure, or smaller?...Firefly's looks nice, but is a bit out of scale to the real thing...Also, what is your opinion of the "Mark" TP9 as far as quality?...Thanks...
