LEO and BEHOLD!
Since the announcement earlier (see my post HERE) by VTS Virtual Toys that they will be releasing 1/6 scale figures inspired by the film "Inception", another company has come out and given their interpretation of their Dominic Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) the Extractor head sculpt and this one is SWEET!
This new head sculpt of Leonardo DiCaprio as Dominic Cobb, the Extractor is being released by Nobody Toys and aptly called "Dreamcatcher". Kind of remind me of the other Leonardo DiCaprio movie as well "Catch Me if You Can", a 2002 American biopic-crime film based on the life of Frank Abagnale Jr., who, before his 19th birthday, successfully conned millions of dollars by posing as a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor and Louisiana attorney and parish prosecutor.
The 1:6 headsculpt resembles Leonardo DiCaprio very well and really shows off the skill of sculptors nowadays - STUNNING!
One more close-up of the Nobody Toys Dreamcatcher head sculpt
And here's the VTS 004 Gang US 12-inch figure of Leonardo DiCaprio as Dominic Cobb, the Extractor from "Inception". Comes with head, striped suit, leather belt, white shirt, gray tie, 1/6 spinning top, 1/1 spinning top, black socks and black lace-up leather shoes
And then there is VTS 005 Gang JP. This is supposed to be Ken Watanabe as Mr Saito, the Tourist, a businessman who employs Cobb for the team's mission, and insists on joining them inside. The figure will come with gray suit, vest, brown leather belt, 1/6 necklace, white French shirt, white socks, brown leather shoes and a 1/6 spinning top as well.

Nice to see that there are more "star heads" from different manufacturers. This surely will make kitbashing more appealing than collecting conventional kit sets. There is a war journalist with Leo's head released earlier from a small manufacturer. That Leo head even comes with movable eyeballs. Given the fact that a licensed figure in excellent quality is priced at about USD150 and un-licensed one in average quality at about USD80, we buyers pay at least USD50-70 as license fee for each figure. The remaining difference being difference in quality and commercial advertising costs.
The first Leonardo sculpt is pretty well done :)
he's leo alright, if only there's his hawt gf, Bar as well. hohohoho
perfect timing! today was the dvd/blueray release of Inception in Germany!
