There's going to be a new 12-inch guy in town – it's the DID 1:6th scale All-Era Action Body

Looks like there's going to be a new guy in town i.e. a 12-inch guy in the 1/6th "town". DID (Dragon in Dreams) is finally joining the improved 12-inch figure bandwagon and offering collectors their version of the improved 12-inch figure. DID's new All-Era Action Body will come with over 38 points of articulation and will be used in selected new products. That means no nude figure for sale (which is a bit of a downer) but just packaged with their new products. DID never mentioned which new product either.

But if I am not mistaken, that looks like a pretty decent 1/6th scale Zac Efron head sculpt, he of the "Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical" fame before moving on to the 2007 film version of the Broadway musical "Hairspray" followed by starring roles in the following films: "17 Again", "Me and Orson Welles", "Charlie St Cloud", "New Year's Eve" and most recently, "The Lucky One" where he put on the pounds and muscles to play U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault.

Guess we'll have to wait a while before we see this figure in the 1/6th scale market. In the meantime, scroll down to see how this figure looks ;p Rather promising actually.

The all too familiar and famous THINKER pose ;p

The Thinker is a bronze and marble sculpture by Auguste Rodin, whose first cast, of 1902, is now in the Musée Rodin in Paris; there are some twenty other original castings as well as various other versions, studies, and posthumous castings. It depicts a man in sober meditation battling with a powerful internal struggle. It is often used to represent philosophy. [source: wiki]

I'm getting more of a James Dean vibe from the headsculpt than Zac Efron. It's a real shame that this isn't going to be released as a basic figure on it's own.
