Oh man that looks awesome. I may have to sell my car to afford this guy but man, I want him. Have you heard when it will be available and how much it will cost? Thanks for sharing.

Since I have yet to buy a red and Gold one yet (although I have the Gentry set coming from AZTECA) this is on my list to get.

Hey Ian, no news yet on price but this should be up for pre-orders very soon (in a day or two). According to Hot Toys, this Iron Man Mark VII is due for release in Quarter 1 of 2013

If you have to ask, you can't afford it. Even if you DON'T ask you can't afford it. Our beloved HOT TOYS seems to be getting comfortable with all our praise, admiration and MOOLA, because it seems were getting less accessories, and diversity, but higher price points. I bet the shirt on my back this new incarnation of the alloyed AVENGER will reach and EXCEED $225.The sad part is I'm 100% going to get it, and once I have it in my hands the initial shock of the inflated price would have long worn off.... Ask me to decide between a stack of money or a pile of toys... I'd pick the toys everytime. :)

well said, anon ;p truth is, Hot Toys knows they are the BEST out there and that people will part with good money to buy their collectibles (for value, for investment, for enjoyment - take your pick) and that's why they are not backing down on price but just keep pumping out more and more figures

Mark IV used to be my favorite suit, but now this is the best! I still prefer a circular arc reactor over the triangular one. Looks like the Singapore Comic Con 2012 will be pack with people again..was wondering if I can pre-order this somewhere else..it's so crazy to queue up overnight..

If other non 1/6 scale toy companies can increase their price at will then it's not far that Hot Toys can do the same. Expect the worst, the price hike will continue. Price increase does not guarantee us of a toy with a better quality. Hot Toys enjoys a growing collector base. They can control the supply which pushes the price to go up. That is why it's LIMITED and for ADULT collectors.

Hot Toys defintely can and WILL do whatever they want in regards to price increases, and as I predicted the preorder price is over the $225usd I anticipated with modest accessory offerings as well. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying.... I'm placing my preorder today, trying to get it for $230-$235 shipping included. Good price Gen-X?

You can really see the extra attention Hot Toys paid to this version.
One place to look is the behind the knee, and inside the elbow, where they did the protective scale tubing for the joints.
They didn't put so much effort into the previous versions. They looked more like glorified exposed joints.

Hot Toys is certainly improving as they progress :) But their prices are also going up and UP :(
