Queen Amidala or Padme Naberrie is played by the lovely Natalie Portman, who came to prominence as Mathilda in Luc Besson's 1994 "Leon the Professional". Queen Amidala's handmaidens shadow their queen and also act as bodyguards and decoys. One of her handmaidens who donned the queen's disguise was Sabe, played by Kiera Knightley who went on to become a Pirate Lord in "Pirates of the Caribbean: At world's End (2007)". The two actresses' mothers had difficulty telling their daughters apart when the girls were in full makeup.

Among the many elaborate costumes worn by Queen Amidala was the Throne-room gown. This was Kubrick's version, released in 2008.

Hey Alex, do you think Medicom or Sideshow will release Queen Amidala with throne-room gown in 12inch in the future? If one of them release it, I will grab it with no hesitation..
hi desmond, we know that Hasbro released Royal Elegance Queen Amidala in 1999. I doubt either company will release this because I don't think it ranks high on most collector's 'want' list :(

hey desmond, no prob'm - just sharing what little i know - ha! ha! What we really really want is Padme Naberrie in the Geonosian arena, wearing that skin tight white outfit - hubba hubba! Instead Sideshow released a Clone Wars animated Padme - bad decision me thinks
Ya, I think it's better to get an original movie figure rather than anime character. To me, I prefer real human headsculpt than anime headsculpt.
Anime headsculpts are fine with me if they are done correctly. Case in point - Hot Toys Deunan and Briareos
