It's not the first time 12" figures have made the news. See article below from 2005 when the war in Iraq just started.
Perhaps if they had used Hot Toys' head sculpts and modern uniform, the picture would have looked more real. The 1/6 standard of 2005 cannot be compared to the quality and realism that is available today. Check out
