ace 1/6 SF NIGHT OPS EBR ver. Preview

After a long absence, ACE has announced a new 1/6 figure to be released soon - an SF night ops with EBR version. Comes dressed in all black attire - ideal for night ops and never goes out of style. Interestingly enough, the color scheme of the Army Combat Uniform (ACU - see previous post) is composed of a slate gray, desert sand and foliage green pixel pattern, which becomes darker or lighter depending on exposure to sunlight. The color black was omitted from the uniform because it is not commonly found in nature. It was proven that pure black, when viewed through night vision goggles, appears excessively dark and creates an undesirable high-contrast image. So it's surprising that all black attire for night ops is still preferred.

The set will come with ACE own figure Man Mk I, Bare hands, Gloved hands, TC- 2000 helmet with NVG mount, PVS –14, Stinger headset system, Radio pouch, Combat uniform, IR flag, Knee pads, Tropical boots, Plate carrier with chest rig, Double rifle magazine pouches x 2, Triple pistol magazine pouch, Breaching pouch, Duty belt, G-lock x 2, EBR with silencer and ACOG scope, CQC rifle sling, 7.62 mm magazine x 4, M9 Pistol, 9 mm pistol magazine x 2, Mk V holster, Light stick x 2

The United States Navy Mark 14 Mod 0 Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR) is an American selective fire military rifle chambered for the 7.62 x 51mm NATO cartridge. It is a variant of the M14 battle rifle, built originally for use with units of the United States Naval Special Warfare Command, such as the United States Navy SEALs. The EBRs are made with the intention of carrying out both designated marksman and CQB roles in combat.

This set will be made available early January 2010
