Toys City 1/6 scale CIA Operative PREVIEW

Another 1/6 scale CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) figure - see previous post, but this time it is from Toys City. Toys City CIA Operative is "old school" and more of how they would have looked like during the very early days of their Afghanistan operations.

This 1/6 scale 12-inch CIA Operative with TTL T1.0B Body wears Tan heavy duty field pants (Mountain Field Pants), black long sleeve shirt, Woodlands camouflage M65 field jacket and cowboy boots (yay! no more Oakleys). He is also wearing a brown Pakol (Afghan hat). Most of his gear is from the Soviet-Bloc so as to throw people off his scent. From the Russian backback (or Soviet Army Backpack), AKM with 75-rd drum magazine (and also three standard 30-rd box magazines) and AK Chest Rig to his high zoom camera, binoculars, push dagger knife, 9mm Beretta M9 pistol, walkie-talkie radio and personal GPS tracker, he's all ready to do some serious intelligence gathering.

He certainly looks like no tourist I know, even when posing with his camera

I'm pretty sure you know who he looks like by now? The Toys City CIA operative head sculpt resembles that of American actor Kurt Russell in his recent film, "Death Proof" which was part of "Grindhouse (2007)", a double feature consisting of two feature-length segments co-written, produced and directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino.

Kurt Russell is “Stuntman” Mike, a psychopathic stunt man who stalks young women before murdering them in staged car accidents using his “death-proof” stunt car. Perhaps he does fit the CIA profile - LOL!

"I hear ya, there's BIG Trouble in Little China!" oops, wrong place my friend. "BIG Trouble in Little China (1986)" was one of the earlier films Kurt Russell starred in. Directed by John Carpenter, Kurt Russell played truck driver Jack Burton alongside Kim Cattrall as Gracie Law before her now famous role as nymphomaniac narcissist Samantha Jones in "Sex and the City".

His "Cauon" camera with zoom lens, for taking pictures and sending them back to Washington

His Romanian AKM with extra magazines and ammunition, for when the real shooting starts!

Wouldn't it be nice to have a 1/6 scale Snake Plissken action figure from "Escape from New York (1981)" and "Escape from L.A. (1996)"? Then he can pair up with Sylvester Stallone's Lieutenant Marion 'Cobra' Cobretti (from 1986's "Cobra") and together they'll be "Tango and Cash (1989)" - action men of my time :>
