There're going to be 1/6 scale figures of Adrien Brody as Royce (from "Predators"), Charlie Sheen as Chris (Platoon), and Christoph Waltz as Hans Landa (Inglourious Basterds)
Adrien Brody as Royce: An American ex-military–soldier turned mercenary. Brody put on 25 pounds of muscle to prepare himself for the role, and has expressed interest reprising his role in possible sequels.
Colonel Hans Landa is the primary antagonist of the 2009 Quentin Tarantino film "Inglourious Basterds", portrayed by the brilliant Austrian actor Christoph Waltz.
Standartenführer (Colonel) Hans Landa is a cruel and ruthless but charming, polyglot and diabolically intelligent Austrian SS officer in the Sicherheitsdienst, who is nicknamed "The Jew Hunter" in reference to his keen ability to locate Jews hiding throughout France.
Platoon is a 1986 war film written and directed by Oliver Stone and starring Tom Berenger, Willem Dafoe, and Charlie Sheen.
Chris Taylor (Charlie Sheen) is a young American who has abandoned college for combat duty in Vietnam. Stone wrote the story based upon his experiences as a U.S. infantryman in Vietnam, as a counter to the vision of the war portrayed in John Wayne's The Green Berets.
Cannot wait for all these to be released :> Hot Toys may have gone "Hollywood" but it is a good thing that Hollywood produced all these GREAT War movies so that we can still get excellent 1/6 military figures from Hot Toys. YIPPEE!!!

Landa -- long waited. But it seems that the headsculpt has to be improved for better likeness. Should come with a glass of milk !
Royce -- timely release if product is available in summer (which is not likely). Headsculpt likeness is fine but skin color has to be improved.
I want that AA12 shotgun!!! :)
Yes... hope that piece of hardware becomes available by itself soon..
With this Hot Toys "Hollywood" fever, they should also have a figure for everybody's favourite USMC DI... Gunney R Lee Ermey...
"Dis my rifle, Dis my gun..
Dis for shootin, Dis is for fun.."
hey WL, Sideshow had released quite a few 1/6 scale R. Lee Ermey figures already (at least 3 versions, I think) with talking phrases (check out my post - http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2007/12/full-metal-jacket-1987-vietnam-war-film.html
I think Gunnery SGT Hartman is too basic a figure for Hot Toys, which means not profit generating. Platoon has more characters and potential ;p CHEERS
Haha Alex..
thanks.. pardon my ignorance... yup just took a look.. The head-sculpt made him look a tad too pale though..
Also saw the Charlie Sheen figure for "Platoon"...not too bad..
Liked the detail for the helmet band with the cigs pack.. I'm not a smoker but smoking seems so ingrained in the culture of warfare..
must try to hunt down a pack of lucky strikes as part of my collection.. 1/6 scale of cuz.. :P
no worries WL; sideshow sculpting not on par with Hot Toys altho some of the HS sideshow have produced were not too bad.
when platoon first came out in the cinemas, putting the cig pack and lighter on the band was all the rage Ha! Ha! I'd seen reservists doing it in the camp LOLZ
I've got some nice templates of cig packs that I'd downloaded sometime ago. if you want, you can give me your email address and i can forward them to you. basically you just print them out and form them into 3-D packs. should make for some interesting paper craft :)
Haha.. Thanks Alex.

I wonder what the enciks and officers had to say about that (they were probably doing the same thing?)..
Considering the package makes for an excellent target..
cheers
WL
I'll buy Royce for the gun he's holding....:)
From wiki: The Auto Assault-12 (AA-12) (originally designed and known as the Atchisson Assault Shotgun) is a shotgun developed in 1972 by Maxwell Atchisson. The current 2005 version has been developed over 18 years since the patent was sold to Military Police Systems, Inc. The original design was the basis of several later weapons, including the USAS-12 combat shotgun. The weapon is selective fire, operating as a semi-automatic, or in fully automatic mode at 300 rounds per minute. It is fed from either an 8-shell box magazine, or a 20 or 32-shell drum magazine. In 2004, ten firing models of the AA-12 were produced and demonstrated to the United States Marine Corps.
Wow..that's very informative indeed. Thanks Alex for finding this out. I never knew the actual shotgun really existed, thought it was designed specifically for the movie :)
hey ethan, U R most welcome ;p I also wanted to know coz I've never seen this particular weapon before the movie CHEERS
