Soldier Story U.S. 101st Airborne Division, Bastogne 1944 PREVIEW

This is a GREAT time for 1:6 scale military collectors who are into WWII US Paratroopers (that's me) because things just got even better. Having previewed the DID 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Officer "Major Richard" in the last post, now official pictures have been released of Soldier Story's next offering - a 1:6 scale 12-inch United States Army 101st Airborne Division paratrooper as he would have been equipped at Bastogne in December 1944 during the Second World War.

He looks to be from the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division during the siege of Bastogne. The two-buckle boots look to be outstanding and the M-1928 Haversack is closely associated with the 327th GIR.

Check out the highly detailed Handie Talkie.

Set will includes: M1 helmet w/netting and chin strap (metal), Cap Mechanic, Winter Type A-4, Scarf, Overcoat, M43 Uniform set, Under Shirt, Winter Gloves, M43 Double Buckle Boots, M1936 Pistol Belt, M1936 Harness, M1928 Haversack, M1910 Metal Water Canteen w/ Pouch, M1910 Metal Shovel, M1910 Shovel Cover, M6 Gas Mask Carrier, M1911 Pistol Leather Holster, Pocket Magazines, M1942 First Aid Pouch, M1918 Trench Knife, Machete w/cover, Mattock with cover, MK2 Hand Grenade x 1, M1911 Pistol, M1911 Pistol Magazines x 3, Handie Talkie, 5 Cells Magazine Pouch, M1A1 Thompson (wood and metal), 30 rounds Magazine x 1, 20 rounds Magazine x 1, Bullets x 10 (metal), Sling, Bendy Hands, and Road Sign (Wood)

If you recall, Soldier Story is also going to be releasing the D-Day 66th Anniversary Set, WWII 101st Airborne: Jack McNiece from the "Filthy 13" (previewed earlier)
