VeryHot 1:6 US Army MP (Military Police) uniform set Preview

Another military figure PREVIEW (see the last post) but this one's by Very Hot and it's a 1:6 scale US Army modern MP (Military Police) uniform set. The MP comes with a K-9 (canine / dog). I like this loadout more than the Wild Work set. Note: No head nor figure will be provided for this UNIFORM set.

An ex-MP mentioned that the name should be changed to US Army MP SSD Team (Military Police Specialize Search Dog Team). Also, they don't wear brassards anymore when deployed, its either an IRR MP velcro patch or a Foliage Green MP velcro patch.

The 1:6 ACU (Army Combat Uniform) loadout looks pretty nice (except the boots which is really really BAD) which begs the question, does the US Army wear their ACU pants over the boots or tucked in? We know the USMC wear theirs over the boots but traditionally, the Army has always tucked their pants.

The dog is a nice addition. Even comes with its own vest and goggles (or is it "doggles"?) Apparently dogs do wear them in Afghanistan / Iraq due to the dusty and sandy conditionsin the desert AOs. Dragon Models has been releasing their 1:6 scale WWII "Pacific" US marines with pets; there's a 1:6 scale crab, parrot and turtle / tortoise so far. Is that going to be a trend?

The mutt even comes with nuts LOL

Is that a Jason Statham head they're using? Any idea which figure that's from?

Really do like the kit, it's very unusual and that's always a good thing :)

hi BigHatDino, that Jason Statham figure is from the Toys City Navy Seal Mk14 Mod1 Rifleman military figure boxed set (previewed - http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2010/05/toys-city-navy-seal-mk14-mod1-rifleman.html) and more pictures of that same headsculpt can be seen at http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2010/08/16-jason-statham-as-frank-martin-in.html

How is the quality of the uniform, weapons and accessories compared to soldier story?

VH is pretty notorious for some of their cheap and poorly crafted items. I bought CQB 2.0, HALO paratrooper and the SDU boxes from VH and alot of the plastic items break apart easily or are already disfigured.
Not sure if everyone has the same situation as I have but it couldn't be a coincident that every of the boxes I open would have the same problem.
I know I can't compare VH with other companies like SS or HT but after all this years they could've at least improved on the quality.
Sorry Alex for the rant, just want to get your two cents, Cheers

p.s. I might prolly get it depending on the review :P

Yup, due to VH reputation many collectors have steered away from buying their products. However, their recent Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) set was surprisingly okay (link: http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2009/12/very-hot-16-scale-cia-afghanistan.html) and I'm waiting to see how this MP set turns out.

Hi Luna

There have been some German Shepherd dogs released in the past but 1/6 animals are very hard to find.

The sites I've shown you earlier might have these loose from time to time or you can check e-bay if they pop up for auction / sale.

I haven't got word from my distributor regarding the Punisher figure yet so will let you know when it is made available

Male MPs don't wear BRASSIERES. Female MPs wear BRASSIERES (those are BRAS), but all MPs wear BRASSARDS.
